There is no atmosphere in this restaurant.
It is a one of a kind old fashion mom and pop run establishment that serves comfort food.
The portions are large and the prices are reasonable in this modern age.
We had the prime rib and it was excellent.
The menu changes daily so check before you go.
My friends gave it a thumbs up and we went on a weekday.
It is located in the heart of the Tenderloin and we found parking close to the restaurant.
We're going again on a night when they have meatloaf.
Not many of these restaurants left where you get soup, bread, entree and a dessert.

Parking: Not in best neighborhood. Good to go around 6pm to find a parking space nearby.

This is the best place to come ‘home for dinner’ I absolutely love her ? And it’s so much delicious food, I can never eat all of it!

We have been there 4 times. Great American food. Prices are great, actually less than Mel's or Tommy's. Portions are generousBe patient. Even though Stephanie is the only waitress, she still takes time to chat with us, as if we are family. And by gosh she remembers us. The liver special was excellent and cooked al dente. So was the prime rib dinner. And his breakfast. I took the rib home and made 2 more meals of it. Customers came in every day, sometimes a couple times a day. Do eat there. We like it and I'm a picky Chinese .

This restaurant is very bad, the manager is rude, she treats you badly and starts saying things to you in her language, she was very discriminatory towards me.

Love the food and prices. Old fashion home cooked meals. Owners know that they are in a low income neighborhood so they keep their prices affordable and portions big for everyone.

I have been going to Lafayette for approx. 10 years. Since the closing of Manor House Restaurant. It's got the best prices in S.F. Selections are great for breakfast. Also serves lunch and dinner. I believe they are open 6 days a week and closed on Saturdays.

What this truly classic coffee shop may lack in quality of coffee it more than makes up for in service & friendliness. Moreover, it still has decent prices for decent portions.

Vegetarian options: There aren't many but the fried-egg sandwich is a fun option if you're lacto-ovo.
