The nerve of this place to exist right in the face of Saigon Sandwich. I wonder if the owners of these places respect each other or if their business is driven by pure hatred for one another. Or maybe they are just civil people. I don't know something about a Bahn Mi rivalry really gets me going. I had to take a risk to even go to this place knowing what I've had at Saigon before. We lucked out on getting the last two sandwiches of the day! And that was around an hour before they closed so go early! We originally decided to venture to the Tenderloin for Saigon Sandwiches, but they ran out. Luckily, there were so many other banh mi places nearby, so we chose L&G and we're not disappointed! My go to place for Banh mi and noodle soups. I order from here at least twice a week. They are always nice and friendly. Even if they are busy they still knowledge me. My favorite is the meatball sandwich add Cha Lua. The bread is always crispy. The noodles soup is filling and doesn’t make me sleepy like from other places.
