This has long been one of my favorite restaurants in this area. If you are looking for a good affordable meal before a show at one of the theaters in this area, this is a good choice. Also perfect for lunch specials. Pleasant interior and friendly service. A gem in a troubled area.

A great friendly spot in the middle of a dicey hood. Great place to duck in and have a cocktail, especially if you have business in the Civic Center area.

Excellent service, full bar and the food is delicious. Happy Hour has killer deals on their best in town grilled short ribs.

I go to Lalita's quite often because it's close to where I work in the Civic Center. The restaurant has excellent customer service, makes your food quickly, and it's delicious. My favorite dishes are: the Lunch Special - Crispy Basil Chicken which is served with steamed rice, a spring roll, and a mixed green salad, and the Fried Rice with Crispy Chicken on top. The food is always fresh and flavorful and you get a decent amount for the price. If you go for lunch, I would recommend that you go after 1 p.m. to avoid the lunch rush. The decor is really laid back and the place is very clean.

Drinks are reasonably priced and the people (owners?) working at the bar are extremely friendly. Happy hour has some good snack options. Would come here regularly if I were local.

I was meeting up with a friend who works at UC Hastings and when she mentioned a Thai place I said, "sold!" There were so many things I wanted to order like the roasted duck noodle soup but I went for the pad see ew with the tofu. My only feedback is I wish it would have had more veggies and tofu but the noodles were delicious! I ate all of it without regret & didn't share! My friend ordered the curry which came with wild rice & my husband had the bbq chicken which he loved. Great prices, good portions & a full bar!

I’ve been here a few times! This is located near Civic Center San Francisco, city hall, the library, and Asian art museum. So, you already know parking maybe difficult to access or a little pricey if you can’t find street parking. But, it is a nice restaurant with a cozy vibe. There is a wall feature that looks to have been painted and a small garden of plants.

The food taste great! My favorite dish so far is off of their lunch special menu: love love the Red Curry with vegetables and fish and the Crispy Tofu with peanut sauce! The aroma of their food just screams flavors. My dish came with salad and egg rolls! The salad tasted so fresh, I know this because the sounds from the lettuce crunch does not lie!!! Love this place, and I'm sure I'm coming back!!!

The food is okay comparing to other Thai food. Expect more for the money.

If you need to be in Civic Center, this is a good place for lunch or dinner. Excellent food and very gracious service and the interior is very pleasant. An oasis in a troubled area.

Came in for a bite on a weekday at 5pm. The restaurant section was empty, the bar had happy hour patrons. The server was so unfriendly, almost like we were bothering her. The food is really not that good. It's just very bland, it almost tasted like frozen Pad Thai. Asked for glass of water, and the server forgot. She never came back. Had to check ourselves out at the bar. Avoid.

The best Drinks for the price! My Longisland Ice tea was hand made , not a mix! They have happy hour from 3-10 pm! (Who does that??) 4.75 appetizers so I had my one badass long iand tea that I had to nurse because it was so authentic, and my husband had 3 Budweisers in the bottle and an order of shrimp rolls and an order of fried Calamari, both for 38 bucks!! In the middle of the Market street district!!! A Gemof a find!!! Go get you some!!

I am going to get the gist. This place double charge gratuity. Our final bill was around $100, but it was $113 when my coworker checked his credit card statement. This is absurd and annoying. He could go contest this additional $13. Contesting the additional charge is not that hard, but an inconvenience for him. We as consumers shouldn't have to check our restaurant transactions that someone would alter the tip section, but we have to do it and hopefully not be surprised. The food and service here is not that bad. I ordered Pad Thai and it tasted alright. The servers were friendly. I just wished they didn't double charge us. Ugh.

I have enjoyed amazing Thai food during my stay in San Fran.... This place is not on the list. Food is so-so at best, and honestly that's me being very kind. I would never go back. Portions are small....the duck and shrimp did not seem fresh and my wings had no seasoning not even common salt and pepper.
