Lalita Thai Cuisine & Bar

This has long been one of my favorite restaurants in this area. If you are looking for a good affordable meal before a show at one of the theaters in this area, this is a good choice. Also perfect for lunch specials. Pleasant interior and friendly service. A gem in a troubled area.

I go to Lalita's quite often because it's close to where I work in the Civic Center. The restaurant has excellent customer service, makes your food quickly, and it's delicious. My favorite dishes are: the Lunch Special - Crispy Basil Chicken which is served with steamed rice, a spring roll, and a mixed green salad, and the Fried Rice with Crispy Chicken on top. I was meeting up with a friend who works at UC Hastings and when she mentioned a Thai place I said, "sold!" There were so many things I wanted to order like the roasted duck noodle soup but I went for the pad see ew with the tofu. My only feedback is I wish it would have had more veggies and tofu but the noodles were delicious! I ate all of it without regret & didn't share!
