While a cool trendy spot, I ended up paying $27 each (inclusive tax and tip) for just a simple Tito’s martini. Nothing fancy, one dry, one dirty. If you’re popping in for a quick pre-movie drink, you’re better off getting the Modelo for 5 bucks or head somewhere else. And to those that think “oh that’s just San Francisco”, $27 for a simple martini is not normal in the city (or NY, or London, or any other major metropolis)
One bartender was absolutely fantastic and sweet and thankfully made up for the other one who was rude and angry.
Would probably leave before being served by Mr angry again.
Don’t close at 9pm a 2/3 full bar with a posted closing time of 10pm!
Oldie but goodie, how can you not enjoy patio seating on mission. Enjoy wine and vibes and pups.
Dear lazlo, speaker outside (if dady lurie allows, would make experience even better)
The first time my partner and I came here, we had a great time. The drinks were expensive but good, and The Outsiders was playing, which was cool. Needless to say, we left with a good impression.
Recently, we decided to go back since we had enjoyed our first visit and had an hour to kill before a dinner reservation. However, this experience was completely different. We weren’t greeted or given menus, so we grabbed one ourselves. When we kindly asked the bartender about quick bites, instead of explaining, he aggressively knocked on the wall to indicate something—which we didn’t understand. It wasn’t until I got up to check that I noticed a small sign with a drawing of fries crossed out.
Before I got up to check, in a rude tone, he said, “You guys are hungry? There are a bunch of places nearby.” Right. We know.
We understand that food questions might get repetitive or be a common annoyance, and maybe this was just his personality, but the way it was handled left us feeling unwelcome. It stuck with us for the rest of the day.
As a server/bartender, whether you like it or not, you set the atmosphere. Unfortunately, this time, the vibe wasn’t great.
Also, there were a few cigarettes on the floor.
Nice bar with foreign cinema menu. However it’s almost impressive they can consistently find the worst bartenders in the city to work here
I was genuinely surprised, they made me the best Amaretto Sour I've ever had!!!

Cute spot for a night cap. It’s a pretty small spot so expect some intimate vibes which was ideal for a date with my man. I got a mezcal margarita and he got the fade into you, we both were trying not to finish our drinks fast because of how delicious they were. It is a craft cocktail bar so expect to pay about $50+ for two drinks. It’s worth it though! I definitely recommend it though. Bartenders were very friendly too.

Ok cocktails, nothing to get super excited about. There’s usually a DJ playing, so the vibes are chill.
I’ll admit I had high expectations. The bar is attached to and affiliated with Foreign Cinema, but is such a let down. The space is beautiful and really draws you in off the street, but for $18 cocktails… the place is not at all worth it. Drinks were just ok, space was dirty, and service lazy at best, more like non-existent. It wasn’t a busy night, only two other customers at the bar. Looks like my experience was similar to others recently.

cute bar attached to foreign cinema continuing with the movie theme. great ambiance for a date or to catch up with friends. drinks were solid, especially fade into you.
fade into you: loved this old fashioned riff with heavy chocolate notes!
We wanted to have drinks after watching a movie. This was convenient as it had indoor and outdoor seating. It’s the bar that is part of Foreign Cinema.

Love that they appear to love anime. Hate that they care less about service. The food is pretty good. This picture of my sentiment says it all. For one person spending this kind of money, I expect funking perfect service. Get your act together, because despite the good food, I am not coming back. Cheers.

I paid foreign cinema prices for food and cocktails, but received exceptionally disappointing service. Will not be returningEdit: the service has been even worse as the meal has gone on. Demoting another star to reflect that. So annoying to actually have to beg a place to pay!
