We’d been a fan of this bakery but recently bought some focaccia (rosemary) and find them very salty. They’re inedible. In the past even before this incident, I had inquired if we could get focaccia with less salt, the answer was no. I don’t think we would go back for focaccia after this time.

Walking through the Italian district, we came across this shop, and I was so excited to try it since I was born and raised in Liguria but haven’t been home in almost a year. We ordered one classic plain focaccia and one pizza. The focaccia was okay—nothing special, a bit chewy—but the pizza was terrible😞 I really wanted to give this place 5 stars to support fellow Ligurians who came here to open something so unique, but the pizza was so salty it was impossible to eat. Just a few bites gave me heartburn because the tomato sauce was very acidic. What a shame.

This place is so delicious! Every bread available is wonderful. It’s one of those bakeries with a lot of history, and it shows in the quality.

I am Italian. We passed by here by chance in 2017 and apparently 8 years later we are still talking about it. A dive into the past and a focaccia to remember; a bit on the soft side compared to the way we have them where I am from. Packed with care.

First of all, I need yo say that my father passed away in 1976. I remember going to this place with him when I was s child. O honestly think this place has been here since the dinosaurs roamed the Earth. The focaccia is heavenly, the pizza one is good too. I'm not a fan of raisins, so no comment there.
(thinking to myself) Maybe I should delete th1st sentence of this review. It's depressing to think about.

Hands down the best focaccia in the SF Bay Area. The pizza and raisin are my favorite. I've been coming here since the early 80s. You need to get here early because once they are sold out. They will closeshop.

They were open on a Saturday and stayed open late to finish up the customers and were still very friendly. Just get there early as they run out of some of their popular products.

First time here. Ordered the pizza focaccia and the rosemary garlic focaccia. You can taste the aroma of the tomato sauce and the light texture of the bread. The sauce didn't make the bread soggy as I was thinking it would. The garlic/rosemary was my favorite of the two. For you garlic and rosemary lover, this is the one you must try. Fresh garlic taste with the awesome smell of the rosemary. This would go great with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. You need to go early before they get sold-out. I will be back for other selections.

Authentic Italian bakery. 1 product, foccacia, done to perfection. My Italian grandpa lived in North Beach and brought it to Sunday dinners every week. Now, generations later, a stop at Liguria is mandatory. But get there early, or you will be disappointed. 5 star best foccacia ever.
