Little Joe's Pizza remains one of my favorite pizza restaurants in San Francisco. The crew here are nice people. Whenever I have guests over, I'm proud to serve some Little Joe's pastas and pizzas. They tell me it reminded them of high school. We used to sell slices at lunchtime for fund raising for various clubs like the Vietnamese club (I'm not Vietnamese and was still able to join.) That was awesome because it breaks up the monotonous school lunch meals. Today I got one of their classics, a medium mushroom & sausage pizza $27.50. Just like the ones we used to sell at our fund raisers. It was awesome.

We had such a good time here.

I tried their chicken with mushrooms and an IPA for dinner. The chicken was cooked well and the sauce was tasty, but the chicken was colder inside than outside, especially the breast. This is clearly a sign of a reheated chicken.

The mushrooms, the side of veggies and a small portion of pasta were expertly cooked just right. The pasta made me think about returning just to enjoy a plate of pasta.

The beer was served perfectly cold and the service was warm, friendly and efficient. The ambiance is welcoming and relaxed.

As most of the San Francisco’s restaurants, little Joe’s has gotten quite expensive. My one dish, beer and gratuity approached $40! The sign of the times we live in.

Sheesh. Walked in curious—co-owner (I assume) just sat there, didn’t greet me, rolled his eyes, went back to his phone. SF, city life I totally get it. The woman (also maybe a co-owner) saw me, said nothing. About 20 seconds in, the phone rings—she answers instantly, no “hold on,” nothing.

A younger guy ends up helping me. I order two slices—he says it'll be 20 minutes, I can wait. No problem. I sit, read a magazine. About 15 minutes later, he says they’re ready. I say, “Great, I’ll eat them here.” He goes, “Oh, you can’t eat slices inside.” LMAO—what? Empty shop, late afternoon, and I can’t eat two slices inside? I ask again just to be sure. Yep—“No slices inside.”

I go to pick them up—only one slice is ready. I’m stunned. Everyone’s moving like they’re in a fog. Straight pizza brain.

I ask for my money back. Woman hits me with, “But we already cooked a whole pizza for you and it was just a slice.” Still, I ask for a refund. As I’m walking out, the co-owner mutters behind my back, “Oh, he was weird, wasn’t he?” LOL.

Total joke. They should be selling insurance, not pizza. Go to Zante’s on Cortland or literally anywhere else.

It's very reasonably priced. Actual food made by people not just frozen things reheated. Local business that cares about the community. Hot food. You should be here. It's very good.

I haven't been here in hella long. Surprisingly, the place hasn't changed much. Same red walls with all the pictures. The lady who took my order was super nice.
We ordered:
1. Small thick crust sausage and pepperoni pizza - The dough was fluffy and tasted fresh. The outside was lightly crispy. The cheese had a nice pull. Everything about the pizza was amazing. I haven't had this good of a pizza in a long time. The small pizza was a pretty good size for the price.

2. Chicken parm w/ spaghetti and vegetables - This was a thick piece of chicken with light breading. It was thick and juicy but not crispy, which is what I'm usually used to. It came with a nice thick piece of bread.

This was an amazing experience. I can't wait to come back soon.

I got shrimp alfredo delivered which tasted horrible... it tastes like old dish water. Absolutely no flavor. Very upset i spent 30 dollars on this garbage. Will not order pasta from here again.

Never been to an ITALIAN restaurant from the east to west coast that serves a cold chicken sandwich. Its also weird that the menu says "2 patties" which would logically be miswording for two cutlets which would automatically think chicken parmigiana in an ITALIAN RESTAURANT (not an Italian deli )at around $15 dollars. The meatballs were pork sausage (fennel seeds and all)in meatball form.the leanness of only pork and no other meat fat made them intolerably firm.it was also probably the fact that there not left to marinate in the sauce which would give them more flavor.which brings me to the tomatoe sauce or I should say meat sauce.it was unusual for a SANDWICH although it was great.it was also kind of redundant to have MEATballs with MEAT sauce.unfortunately I was hungry so after trying to get through through the first half, the meatballs which were the main part of the meatball
sandwich were just so intolerable I left the last piece ,wrapped up the second half ,gave it to a homeless person outside, then went to Popeyes.

Very popular spot and for good reason. Super delicious. Just a few spots outside for eating. Sauces and bread to go, plenty of options for wine, a few for beer and soda.

Little Joe's has consistently made the best pizza in San Francisco, we order delivery every so often and are always delighted by the quality of their food. Sometimes when you call, you'll be put on hold for a couple minutes and that can get annoying, but still, totally worth it.

Best pizza I've tried in San Francisco!! Every time I visit (3-4 times a year) I always make sure to stop by Little Joe's! Sometimes there is a super long wait since it is only takeout but it's worth it :)
