Authentic and delicious Mexican food!

I only had one dish here, so take this with some consideration: the pozole is not great. It was made with chicken which should have been my first indication to skip it, but I went ahead and ordered it anyways. The chicken tastes old and is tough. The pozole soup base is pretty flavorless- it could be helped with more salt. The other dishes here are probably fine, but I was rather disappointed today with this as my first dish from this restaurant.

I come for lunch and had the tostadas de nopales, it was so delicious and everything was fresh. The service was great, it's easy to support Los Cilantros (a woman owned business) when the food is this good.

What better way to support during Hispanic Heritage month than to enjoy a delicious meal at a local Latino spot called Los Cilantros. I enjoyed their tostadas and can't wait to return and try out the rest of the menu.

I've been to Los Cilantros a couple of times, and I've enjoyed everything I've ordered. I tried the chilaquiles verdes with eggs, the chicken tinga tostada, ceviche tostada, and the esquites. All were yummy! The chilaquiles verdes had so much flavor. I usually go for a salsa roja, so it was nice to try something a little different. You can also get it with chicken instead of eggs, but I love having breakfast meals anything during the day. The tostadas were delicious, and I'm glad there's now an option to get them individually. There's still an option to get 4 of the same kind. I really enjoyed the chicken tinga tostada, that had a layer of black beans. The ceviche tostada had all the citrusy flavors I expect from a ceviche. I thoroughly enjoyed the esquites. I love corn, and I wanted something that was easier to eat than the elote, though I definitely want to try that, too. The esquites was creamy with a little spice. I could eat it as a snack, and that plus the tostadas was the perfect lunch meal. Los Cilantros is located at La Cocina Municipal Marketplace in the Tenderloin. What I love about this new food hall is that every vendor has a $5 meal option so that everyone in this community can afford a good meal. La Cocina has limited indoor dining, so it's fist come/first serve. Definitely check out Los Cilantros and support La Cocina!
