I absolutely love this restaurant. I have been picky with where I get my Salvadoran dishes, and it's going to be at Mexican-Salvadoran fusion, but this one is by far the most authentic in terms of atmosphere and flavor. The pupusas trigger memories of my favorite place that my parents would take me as a kid in Redwood City.

I'm going five stars for Los Panchos since it's one of those awesome locally owned, independent restaurants that doesn't strive to be anything it isn't - they do solid food at great prices with friendly service. I go here for pupusas since I really love them and Los Panchos does them pretty well. My personal favorite is Balompie but Los Panchos also hits the spot. Their curtido is also pretty darn tasty and tangy and their salsa has a nice kick to it too. I've been going for several years and was most recently there before pinball league night across the way at Outer Orbit since they were not serving food that night so I decided to get my pupusa fix. In SF many spots are expensive and fancy but it you want a down home meal I'd definitely suggest Los Panchos!

The most boring Mexican food on the planet. I even asked for hot salsa and was told they had none.whoever heard of a Mexican restaurant without salsa picante?I mean, the food was fine, it was just boring. If they were to serve Mexican food at old folks home, this would be it.

Well, oh well, it takes them 40 minutes for them to come and ask you what you want to eat and then it takes them an hour to serve you. About 2 months ago we went to eat and I ordered a fish soup and it was rotten. And then I went for a week and ordered one. Order that comes with 2 pupusas and a soup I thought it was the big glass but no. It was a small one and for what it costs it is very expensive and to top it off the soup is also rotten it stinked and caricima that is a robbery
The gentleman who helped us was very nice and attentive, as well as the lady who took our order. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very welcoming and I loved their decoration Mexi/Salvi.When it comes to the food, it was in need of more flavor. For my plate I was expecting handmade tortillas and I got store bought instead. As of the pupusas, it was milky maybe they added a cheese that made them milky? A huge disappointment for me was the atol de elote, it had a soapy taste and did not taste like corn at all. It was creamy and it seems that maizena flavor powder was added to it.
