I'm going five stars for Los Panchos since it's one of those awesome locally owned, independent restaurants that doesn't strive to be anything it isn't - they do solid food at great prices with friendly service. I go here for pupusas since I really love them and Los Panchos does them pretty well. My personal favorite is Balompie but Los Panchos also hits the spot. The gentleman who helped us was very nice and attentive, as well as the lady who took our order. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very welcoming and I loved their decoration Mexi/Salvi.When it comes to the food, it was in need of more flavor. For my plate I was expecting handmade tortillas and I got store bought instead. As of the pupusas, it was milky maybe they added a cheese that made them milky? I absolutely love this restaurant. I have been picky with where I get my Salvadoran dishes, and it's going to be at Mexican-Salvadoran fusion, but this one is by far the most authentic in terms of atmosphere and flavor. The pupusas trigger memories of my favorite place that my parents would take me as a kid in Redwood City.
