I absolutely loooove Lou’s…. This review is for the online ordering, I was under the impression I was ordering directly from the cafe from its Google business page but it actually redirects you to Caviar. I don’t have a Caviar account but thought I was still ordering because it deceptively lets you place an order, sends you a confirmation, then after waiting come to find out the restaurant does not have my order.

Luckily I was not charged but what really sucks is I had only a 30 minute time window for lunch and spent the entire time trying to track down my order. I’m upset because some random company now has my email, name and Apple Pay information which I did not consent to. PLEASE fix this! I’d rather order directly from your restaurant instead of dealing with a third party! I was going to walk there to pick it up so it shouldn’t be this complicated. Now I don’t have my lunch and your business lost money!!

Great spot for a solid sandwich and some sun in their courtyard.

The BEST sandwiches! We had the Ben Alto and the Amicado. Wish I had a place near my work like this 💥

Grabbed a Space Balls for lunch. Seems popular among the workers around the location. The sub held well and was pretty good. Prices are fair.

Just a beautiful sandwich for a good price. I had the risky bizness, but there were a few options that I really wanted to get. 100% I'm a sandwich and deli guy and I loved this spot.

If they have a special sauce that's a good sign, and I was surprised at how tangy it was (unless maybe that was the crab salad). That's a bold and commendable move in a world where every sauce these days is some recycled crowd pleasing grocery store aioli. Last thing, I hope they never change their bread.

Not many spots to sit inside but the best sandwiches in SF! Absolutely love everything I’ve tried including soup and different sandwiches. I’ve tried the Italian special and tuna melt and both were so good - easy to eat, ingredients didn’t slip out, bread was toasty and crisp but didn’t hurt my mouth. So good!!

Really frustrated! I always order the same sandwich (cheese sandwich) but they never seem to get it right. I spent my entire lunch break waiting for my sandwich, only for them to give me a sandwich with no pesto and cheese. The sandwich is dry and a waste of money. This is my last time eating here.

A Great sandwich for a good price... especially in the financial district. Got the Italian with everything and it was delicious. Good bread nice n toasted to crispy. Look forward to trying other sandwiches here, it's definitely going to be my go to spot.

I really like Lou’s Café. The bread is always fresh and delicious, they have great selection of sandwich options, and it’s a very good value. This location is off the street in the interior of the block, so it is quiet and there is a nice, tranquil outdoor eating area next to it that is very pleasant. Highly recommend!

Fast service + delicious and creative sammies epic combo. ordered the Risky Business (hot pastrami, crab salad, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, peperoncino peppers, Lou's special sauce, and jalapeno spread + all the normal trimmings on Dutch Crunch). What a bold and beautiful sandwich! It was epic. My wife had the Veggie and it was equally good. These sandwiches are precision-crafted. They don't fall apart, very robust and balanced creations. July 2015.

They left a white piece of plastic in my bread. I almost choked. Never coming back here.

Love Lou’s, but we (about 5 people) were all waiting in line forever, no acknowledgment from staff, no orders taken, just ignored. These guys are clearly prioritizing call in orders. This was at 11am so not even peak lunch time.
