We love this place and will definitely be back! The food was great—pasta, salad, skewers, and tiramisu were amazing. The only miss for me was the bruschetta—it was a bit oily.

Management needs to appropriately staff this place - Sunday morning prime time and one person working FOH? As expected had to wait forever even for water and we noticed people waiting at front for a long time and then leaving. Our food was rush prepared so it seems BOH also understaffed. Beautiful space but need to hire some people to make us want to come back.

Just ok! We ordered the pasta pie and it was cold in the middle. It seemed like it had been sitting out for a while and they put it in an oven to warm it up and just didn’t warm it up long enough. We also ordered the little gem salad which we thought was pretty good and another pasta dish that thankfully was warm! My only other complaint was that they brought out my partner’s dinner about 10 minutes before mine which seems like an odd move! Fortunately, he shared his food with me but I would find this awkward on a first date or a business dinner.
Amazing dinner at Mattina. Strawberry bruschetta, lamb/octopus skewers and chocolate tarte dessert were highlights. Can’t go wrong with any of the pastas. Beautiful restaurant too! Chef Matt killing it.
Fantastic dinner here …our first time.
Not only was every dish delicious and thoughtfully executed, the portions are HUGE!
We also greatly enjoyed the friendly and attentive service. This is truly a neighborhood gem …in a pretty darn competitive neighborhood!
10/10. Everything I ordered was delicious - the pasta, the spiedini, the prosciutto, the dessert and espresso to finish. Definitely adding this spot to my list of go to restaurants.
Mattina has become one of our favorite spots and we just keep coming back. Food is amazing, the staff is warm and friendly and we’re always greeted with a smile. Chef Matt keeps coming up with incredible dishes that always hit the spot. I can’t recommend this place enough for a casual lunch, a dinner to impress someone or even just coffee and a pastry. You will not be disappointed
Came for Mother’s Day and had a great meal. Service was excellent! All the food we got was fantastic and reasonably priced. The pistachio donut was my favorite - I don’t have a picture because I scarfed it down :/
Great good. Big portions. Really friendly staff

Friendly staff but the food was kind of disappointing. However I really enjoyed the beef skewers.
Mattina absolutely nails the modern pasta bar concept, delivering refined, flavorful plates in a relaxed and stylish space. For a date night, it checked all the boxes—and then some.
We grabbed seats at the chef’s counter (highly recommended), where watching the team work was almost as enjoyable as the food itself. Not a single miss on the table. We started with the arancini—crisp, golden, and paired with an incredible peppery-sweet sauce that we couldn’t stop dipping into. The Brussels sprouts were right there with it—charred just enough and punched up by a maple chili glaze.
Now, the pastas. I went with the lumache, and honestly, I’d go back tomorrow just for that. It was perfectly cooked, with rich tomato flavor, a creamy burrata topping that brought a gorgeous temp contrast, and breadcrumbs that gave each bite a perfect crunch. It’s the kind of simple, elegant dish that doesn’t need any tricks to impress. My wife had the tagliatelle with mushrooms, and she was equally floored. She swore she wouldn’t order anything else next time—though I’m eager to explore more of the menu.
Service was genuinely lovely—warm, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering. Every recommendation hit, and the pacing was just right.
All in all, Mattina brings thoughtful food, skilled execution, and great energy at a price point that feels more than fair. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to become a regular. We’ll absolutely be back.
I am OBSESSED with the semolina pudding and will come back repeatedly for it. The almond rocca latte was also excellent. The crust on the frittata was very tough and hard to eat. Not sure if this was a one time thing or it’s always like that.

Great experience. Sat at the counter with my kids. Got to watch the kitchen staff prepping the food. Food was great, especially the Tagliatelle with mushrooms. The desserts were equally good. Service was really good.

Ordered multiple pasta dishes. Unfortunately all the pastas were overcooked had too much pasta water in them so a bit soupy. I sat at the counter and the guy cooking (wasn’t the owner/chef) didn’t know what he was doing. Great concept and innovative combinations but poor execution.
