I'm disappointed in writing this review because I generally don't write low ratings for local small businesses, and I wrote a highly rated review of this restaurant.

I ordered a carne asada and shrimp burrito super burrito to go. When I was eating my burrito, I noticed that it did not have any carne asada. I called the taquiera asking them if they can refund me for the product I bought.

The associate told me I need to go back to the restaurant and return the burrito I half ate,n and then they will make me a new burrito. I told them that it would be too complicated because that would mean I would have to drive back.

I then asked them if they could return money for the carne asada that was missing, and they told me I still need to go back to the restaurant and return the burritp and I would only get $1.50 back.

It's 2026, and ain't no restaurant charging $1.50 for extra steak.

At this point, I knew this restaurant was not looking out for its customers.

Sadly, I won't be returning to this restaurant and supporting them. From my experience, most restaurants would acknowledge they messed up on the order and either refund the order or provide a partial refund.

Do better, Mexico Tipico - make sure ya'll eat your burrito before you leave your restaurant if you have a specific order, because they won't accommodate you for any mistakes they make.

P.S.
I also gave them a $2 tip for a take out order!

Very friendly staff and great service! It’s honestly impressive watching the crew work so efficiently, all the way from the register to the prep line.

Had a chicken Burrito Super. Great, hearty burrito with good flavor and solid portion size. The whole menu looks awesome and we were almost sad that we weren’t sticking around town to try the other items. Definitely check is out for some tasty Mexican eats.

This place is a gem: the food, the vibes and the friendly staff. I travel to SF every year and I àways come here.

This might be controversial but I think their super burrito is up there with La Taqueria. The mission style burrito had a perfect ratio of meat (cooked well, moist, and seasoned), beans, and other toppings. I loved that they include just a little bit of rice in the burrito, which helps it soak up a little moisture and is more filling compared to La Taqueria but not enough to compromise the flavor. The service was quick, and they brought a plate of chips with green and red salsa to my table. IMO, the super burrito here beats out El Farolito as its way less greasy, more moist, and has a better ratio of filling. For anyone looking to try the best burrito spots in San Francisco, you will have to come here.

I need to go back and try something else. I saw other ppl plates and everything was looking good. I order a torta and it was a bad decision. Bread isn’t tasty. The meat ( Milanesa de res)was greasy flavorless and thin like a piece of paper. Ingredients inside were helpless just a bunch of lettuce with very liquid sour cream. I couldn’t finish it not even the half of my torta. I didn’t like it all :(

Giving just stars because the service was great

Excellent, I couldn't cook for several months bc of an injury on my hand. The soups are just the way it's done! Super tasty sopes, not so salty, if you order ahead in advance, it saves the time in line. There are lots of tables but very busy. Give ur Tips. People work really hard here. Enjoy Mexican food!
