My go to restaurant for Cantonese comfort food. I wish they would reopen for sit down dining again because I missed sitting down to eat my meals there.

Prices have gone up slightly but portion size still not bad. The taste of food is decent. Recently found out they no longer offer their onion pancakes which is really the only reason I order food from them. Without the onion pancakes, I see no special reason for me to go back because the food is as common as I find everywhere else.

Haven't been here j I'm n years, so while craving some Chinese food, we thought we would give it a try. Sweet and Sour pork. I was actually hoping for that sweet, gooey, red dye filled sauce over crispy chunks of fried pork. What I received was a very mild sauce, doughy breaded pork with raw onions and raw green bell peppers. Blah! The beef Stew is always a crap shoot in most smaller restaurants. This place had tender beef stew with little beef, more beef parts. Sauce was bland over fresh chow fun noodles. Adding some soy did wonders. Now the sparkling gem, Hom Yee Gai Nup Fan (salted fish and chicken Frien rice). Rice was nicely separated, tiny pieces of salty fish and slivered chicken with egg and cooked lettuce. Nicely done.

Called to place a takeout order but no one answered. I was close by so I drove over and they were closed. Didn't notice any signs mentioning a closure.

Absolutely delicious vegan Chinese food. High quality ingredients and really flavorful. I also love the old vibe of the place, a nostalgia for what San Francisco used to be. The couple working here is very humble, generous and kind. It’s truly a neighborhood gem.

This food is really good! first time trying vegan food and did not know what to expect! all the dishes we ordered were delicious, highly recommend the salt and pepper ribs! we finished the whole dish on the drive home!

Bland & disappointing! Ordered beef chow fun (dry) & seafood chow mein. Both were on the bland side & needed a generous dowse of soy sauce & siracha. Did they change owners? Or cooks? Ordered the same 2 items down a ways at Win's & just opening the containers, I could already tell that it was going to be better, and it was! I'll know better next time

I ordered steamed sandpaper, pan fried beef noodles, Fuzhou fried rice, walnut shrimps and Mongolian beef. Except the steamed fish I did not like(a little fishy), all other dishes were great! Tasty and fresh, their prices are reasonable too. Definitely coming back!!

Never having been to Ming's, I ordered two simple dishes-Chicken Chow Mein and Beef Chow Fun. The Chow Mein noodles were not seasoned well, and were not Chow Mein noodles. There was not much chicken. The Beef Chow Fun was a little better, but the use of inferior ingredients ruined the taste. The worst part of the experience- I was charged double the price listed on the menu. Thankfully there are a number of other restaurants in the neighborhood that serve delicious fare. I ought to have realized Ming's was not very good as all the other restaurants were filled with customers but Ming's was empty.

Love it here! Usually order the salt and pepper pork chops, green onion pancake, and beef chow fun!! I'm 100% Chinese so you know the foods good when my grandma that never eats out specifically requests the beef chow fun from here occasionally

Comforting Chinese food. I didn't know what to eat for dinner tonight so I called in an order for pick up for beef chow fun with veggies. Total came out to almost $11, cash payment. Definitely a great deal considering that we're in San Francisco. I haven't ate food from here since 2011 or so, or maybe I've had a salty fish chicken fried rice a few years ago. Flavors are still very familiar. Portion for two go was huge. I even gave some to my son even though he already had dinner. It wasn't the best beef chow fun I've had but definitely the best value for the item. Wish there was a bit more "wok air" in Chinese to the dish. But still good for only $11! Will continue to support local business.

Ming's diner is one of my mom's favorite place for dinner. They always provide fresh ,good tasty food in good value, and we have been visiting this restaurant for many years. Since the pandemic, the restaurant has been doing take-outs only. Today I swing-by to pickup two togo orders: - Dragon Balls ( seasoned Tofu w/Greens) Vegan food - Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs ( vegan food) I may wanna to highlight that Ming's diner makes really good of vegan food, the two dishes that I just ordered are one of our favorite. The dragon Balls: The dragon ball ( made by tofu and mixed with some vegi) were light crispy outside but extremely soft tofu inside. Sweet and Sour Spare ribs: no matter the look, taste and even the meat texture were pretty much similar to the real ribs. LOL. However, it is a vegan food. I love their sweet / sour source, which was sweet/sour balanced and my mom love that. As usual, Ming's diner would definitely my favorite place for dinner in SF. I would highly recommend it.

This restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside or inside for that matter, but called in an order of beef chow fun. I'm not from here but a brief observation told me I was in dumpling territory which I wasn't in the mood for today. Their chow fun was so fresh, not too salty and beef texture and portion were perfect. Good serving amount. I'm not Chinese however been eating chinese food for 50 years. In my book this was delicious old fashion Chinese fun. They have a very long menu but sorry it's not on line. A phone call is recommended and a human being will answer. I asked if I could have a vegetable thrown in and they offered bok choy at no extra charge. It was outstanding. The restaurant does not appear set up for dining in right now. My my chow fun was take out. I'll definitely be back. 5* bc service was quick, price was right and food was delish!

We have been coming here for years. Since the pandemic, the restaurant has been doing take-outs only. The food is awesome with very generous portions and great value. Their stir fried squid with pickled vegetables is our favorite dish but everything is good here.
