Had very good food at decent prices, and also had great service but it was a bit slow on the appetizers. Overall it was a great hotpot place.

We went for a friend birthday! The food was great. The meat quality was some of the best I've had. Very fresh! The atmosphere is very nice, the smoked glass partitions create a very nice private feel. The service was the best part of the entire experience! Our server Kingsley was incredible. Smiles and eye contact the entire time. Did a great job explaining the menu and how ordering works, and volunteers his favorites for each category without us having to ask. He was super attentive, through, and really created a home like vibe. I can honestly say Kingsley was literally the best over all server I've had at any restaurant in years!Vegetarian options: All of the soup broths are vegetarian except the tonkatsu. They also have a gluten-free broth option

Food was good, service was good. There wasn’t anything particular that stood out, it was just a great meal overall. They used iPad for ease of ordering, which was great, the food came out really quickly. Waiter was friendly and helpful, it would’ve been nicer if they focused a bit more on the atmosphere because it feels a bit less luxurious for the meal we’ve had. Definitely would recommend this place if you’re looking for a friend night outWished the vegetables have more variety. Meat was good and plentiful. Would recommend!

They are so kind and meat is good quality. 90 mins limitation and they serve ice cream for desert. The thing is that the price starts from 42 dollars for a person if you don't have a membership. I thought it started from 32 dollars. It turned out it is only for a membership.

Pretty mediocre. Service is decent but…Karaoke room is nice, but the food is extremely mediocre for the asking price.Soup bases are flavorless and sauce options are straightup bad. Sides taste like the frozen food section at costco.

Their Wagyu and pork belly is so good, but their soup base is so mild, almost tasteless. And their chicken karaage is actually Taiwan fried chicken. My boyfriend and I all got diarrhea after having dinner here.

I brought my nephews here for their birthdays, and it was a great spot for them (neither had been to shabu shabu before). We did the basic AYCE and it was perfect for us. The chicken karaage was not very good, we don't really recommend that one. Gyoza was solid (one nephew loved them and ate a couple orders). I personally wish there were more veggie options. The people here were awesome in talking them through the options and how to order. I like that you order on a tablet, though I wish it would get checked off so you know if an order is still coming. We never got a couple things and it would be nice if you knew the kitchen had marked it as done so you could order again. Overall we had a great time and one of my nephews said it was one of his best meals ever. So, definitely a win! :)

Yum, I thoroughly enjoyed the food at Mokuku.I came around 6pm on a Sunday and was able to be seated immediately at the bar. They have a downstairs and upstairs - I stayed downstairs! I did the basic AYCE set ($41.99) with Sukiyaki broth. It came with the cilantro sauce (AMAZING), and Ponzu sauce (also good, but not as amaze-balls as the cilantro). Service was super fast. You order on an iPad and it shows up right away. No limits to ordering on the iPad.Meats in order-ish of how I liked them:JAPANESE KURABOTA PORK - Wow, I didn't expect to like this so much!!!! It was so good. AMERICAN WAGYU - a classic. So tender and soft! Great marbling that you could see.JAPANESE KURABOTA PORK BELLY - Not as good as the pork, but still good!!AMERICAN PRIME BEEF - It was average.PREMIUM LAMB - I really like lamb, but this one just wasn't hitting especially with all the other meats there were!I also tried some appetizers. EDAMAME - good to have some veggies with your meat!FRIED GYOZA - super fried and oily, it's a skip for me!CHICKEN KARAAGE - personally I wouldn't have called that karaage but whatever floats your boat. It just a really salty fried chicken. I didn't finish it. Mixed feelings on this one, not as bad as the gyoza but not particularly great either. You end your meal with a choice of vanilla or matcha ice cream (I chose matcha) which was delicious. I even ate my cone! Can't wait to be back!

Decent shabu spot! I think this is a pretty good deal for AYCE - they have different tiers based on meat quality. I went with my friend, and we opted for the lowest tier- even with that, the meat was very good. We tried one of each meat and our favorites were the prime beef & kurobuta pork. They also have an add-on all you can drink option for I think around $17-18 which was a very good deal - it included hot or cold sake. You order through a tablet and they bring the meat/veggies out to you. The service was actually very fast for AYCE- I did not feel like they were trying to drag along the time so that we would have to eat slowly. In fact, the meat always arrived very quickly. Overall 3 stars (maybe round up to 3.5 stars) as it was a decent meal but I did not think it was particularly spectacular. Go here if you want a good AYCE meal with friends with decent quality meat +/- all you can drink. I would not say the broth or the dipping sauces (they provide three kinds) were necessarily my favorite.

DATE & TIME: Fri Dec 29, 2023 @ 7:30 PMLAYOUT: bright and modern, several tables and bar seating on main level, more seating upstairsSERVICE: friendly servers, quick food delivery to the tableFOOD: several sets to choose from, ascending value: entree, basic wagyu AYCE, premium Australian wagyu AYCE, Japanese wagyu AYCE, and supreme Japanese A5 wagyu AYCE, with six broths to choose fromPARKING: street parking On a rainy Friday evening, we stopped by for dinner without reservations and were seated immediately. We chose the tonkotsu and tom yum soup broths, and prior to cooking anything in the broths, the tonkotsu was a little bland, but the tom yum was salty with mild tanginess. We're not that bougie, so we opted for the cheapest AYCE set: the basic wagyu set at $41.99/person. Selection from this set included (unlimited) american wagyu, american prime beef, lamb, kurobuta pork, kurobuta pork belly, vegetables, and appetizers (edamame, seaweed salad, fires, chicken karate, gyoza, fried buns with condensed milk). Sauces for the table were cilantro, ponzu, and sesame. You order with a tablet, which is efficient without having to flag down an employee every time. The quality of the meats were good, and the taste was on point. Vegetables were also fresh. Overall, Mokuku is a solid shabu shabu place that I recommend and would return to in the future.

Went to there for dinner on Dec 26. It was quite a disappointment in terms of food quality. Their soup base is just so so and there is a lacking of dipping source choices. The service was ok. They were busy and needed to wait a bit but they responded eventually.

Came here for dinner on Monday. It's a shared pot for table of two unless you're at the bar. The bar has individual pots and they have big tvs playing sports. They have ayce menu and set menu items. They also offer yearly memberships for discounted ayce. What I didn't like was that you can't purchase the membership and use it that same day. We got the basic ayce menu for $42 per person. The meats were really good quality. Unfortunately they don't have a good selection of vegetables and side options. Eggs are also $1 extra which sucks if you get sukiyaki. I loved the fried buns with condensed milk. I also liked the complimentary ice cream that comes in a cone.
