The service at Monte’s was excellent. But the food I ordered the waterfront Benedict was a disappointment. The crabmeat was so little you hardly can see it.

It’s been years since I went to this bar. We had just visited the Institute of Contemporary Art of San Francisco across the street. It was that sweet spot where some bars or restaurants don’t open until 4pm. We decided to stop by since it was open and it looked cozy plus they had the game on. The staff was accommodating in pushing seats and tables to accommodate the group. Prices were a bit steep so we only stayed for one drink. Seems like it’s a bar mainly for hotel guests from what we could see.

Breakfast: ZERO stars. Unbelievably expensive for simple eggs, flavorless potatoes, and precooked and warmed sausage links. And $7 for black coffee after charging so much already!?!? What world do they live? Save the time and go to any corner shop instead.
Dinner/ bar: 4 stars! Really cool little spot and vibe. Super fast service which was a surprise. Spicy Asian chicken was two thin fried chicken thighs which gave great crunch. A little tough but not terrible. Steak frites was good and cooked well.

Monte's used to have a la cart service for the week I visited. (2nd week of January), they just had a buffet. Very fresh but simple scrambled eggs bacon sausage fruit and pastries. The cost was $30.00 - you can get great a la carte breakfast at sears Pinterest loris diner or cafe Mason for half the price.

Fantastic service and this restaurant has AC which can be very tough to find in the city apparently. The service was phenomenal and we were greeted right when we sat down. We ordered the chicken Provençal and the filet and they were amazing! I can’t recommend this place enough

NYE - App shows pictures of restaurant, takes reservations for the restaurant, but only thing open was the bar and not serving food. Would have gone elsewhere I'd we'd known. Maybe OT should put kitchen closing time info in the descriptions as well.
