It is pretty hard to knock an establishment where the cashier is also the chef post-Covid. My work is down the block and I was hungry at 10am. There's a sign outside for a "breakfast special" w/coffee for $8. I made an executive decision to try it. The guy asked me if I wanted a bagel or an English muffin. He handed me a cup for the coffee and I waited. What came out was this soggy ass English muffin with cheese, egg and ham. It tasted like something I would make at home. (By the way, I'm a terrible chef.) I can't believe I wasted precious stomach space for this. Normally, I would chuck this in the trash. But I finished it since I was too lazy to take the elevator back down and try another restaurant. Plus my work in-box was filling up. In summary, the food is meh. Service was fine with no wait.

The food tastes good and prices are low too! My favorite is the tofu sandwich -- the bagels are great too... I have no complaints on the taste! Seems like a nice family owned business. My only gripe is I worry some of their ingredients have been sitting around for a while... I've eaten here 4 times and got a slight upset stomach twice. I wanna like this place, but I should probably do my stomach a favor.

Sad excuse for a breakfast burrito. No flavor or enjoyment to take from it.

I always walk past this place to work, but have never tried it until now. I am always wowed by their amount of options and you definitely feel that even before you walk in with all their options along the outside of the shop. Once you walk in, there's also an overwhelming amount of items and options. I got the combination pork Vietnamese sandwich, but it was pretty mid. The bread was kind of stale and the pickled veggies werent as flavorful/pickled as other places. Overall, there was nothing special about it and the bread to filling ratio was off. There was a lot more bread than filling. It was also pretty pricey for what I got, but expected in the financial district.

Googled ‘Vietnamese coffee’ nearby and walked to Hong Kee & Kim, only to find out they’re permanently closed. Thankfully so, otherwise I wouldn’t have found this gem! The coffee is powerful and rich in flavor. I can’t stand black coffee and this mix added the perfect amount of sweetness— not overbearing or too watered down. I’ll be ending my Starbucks trips for iced blonde lattes because this is tastier and actually wakes me up. The best part of the experience was meeting Chai! Easily one of the best first impressions ever. Chai is very bubbly and charming! His infectious energy brightened my day, even my coworkers noticed the energy shift. All smiles and laughs! Thank you!

Love the vibe and the customer service! I honestly love how convenient this place is and how it has all sorts of snacks and drinks and hot meals. I also like how early it opens because it's located in the financial district and most people start working around 8am. It is small inside and it does get packed even at 7am, so come early!

Service and coffee was bad. Do not prompt customer when coffee ready. There are no napkins or condiments available.

Love that they give you the option of bread for the type of sandwich you want! Freshly made!

Came here on a whim. Daughter wanted waffles but I didn't want to go to a restaurant. Small quiet area, staff was so nice and welcoming. Order didn't take long, but we were there in the around 9am so I assume it gets crowded after work hours. She enjoyed everything and we are planning on coming here more often.

Very disappointed on waiting my order maybe it's a family owned tiny cafe combination of a liquor store. I ordered 2 spring rolls and 1 Vietnamese sandwich but I had to wait for 25min. Very slow for only 3 order and they're not even a regular dish. Price a little high on breakfast, reasonable on lunch. If it's not because the location by my worksite, I might went somewhere else.

Standard fare, well done but really pricy. Egg, Cheese, and sausage on an English muffin and a small coffee works out to be 11 and change?? I know things are a problem in SF but dang! Again, it was well done but fairly standard for a corner place. Also, was a little slow - only one guy working behind there and took about 5 min alone for the guy in front of me. Had their bahn mi for lunch. Very well done. Toasted bun which is key to me. This was preordered by a group i was with. We also ordered bubble tea and it was REALLY sweet, even though i specified 25% sugar. I think they must have remade it all. This definitely would not be my go to place

Get the Thai Tea! It's very light with a subtle sweetness. Super good! This place has a cool vibe too. Make sure to checkout their outdoor area. It's got asian decor with bamboo, trickling waterfalls, etc. Super relaxing! Next time I'm in East Hollywood area, I'm definitely coming back here!

Decided to try the vietnamese breakfast bagel. Yum! All the flavors of a vietnamese sandwich but on a bagel with cream cheese. Glad I decided to try something different today.

This breakfast spot is perfect for weekday mornings when you are running to work and need something tasty to start your day! I have passed by this place a few times in the past and been curious, so today I decided to give Morning Brew a shot, and I'm so happy that I did! The cafe's menu is very extensive and has a diverse range of sandwiches and entrees to choose from, with a specialty in Vietnamese cuisine. The selection of drinks is also extremely broad, with everything from iced Vietnamese coffee to smoothies and boba. For my first visit to Morning Brew, I ordered a Volcano smoothie and a Veggie Haven bagel sandwich, both of which were absolutely delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Volcano smoothie, which has mangoes, orange juice, and pineapples in it. The smoothie was blended beautifully and the tropical flavors were incredible. I am not exaggerating when I say that this is one of the best smoothies I've had in years! It's totally worth getting the large size for smoothies here because there is only a $1 difference between the tall and large sizes. As a vegan, I was also delighted at how vegan-friendly the menu was, with a whole section devoted to non-dairy boba milk tea and the ingredients of each menu item clearly stated. The woman at the counter was more than happy to modify my order and adjusted the Veggie Haven sandwich to be vegan for me. To top it all off, Morning Brew's breakfast selections are available all day, so you can enjoy their scrumptious breakfast sandwiches at any time. Please check this place out and give them some love!
