Food was not great at all. Some of the food looked like they used pre-packaged food and warmed it up - which probably was a good thing considering the food which looked like they cooked themselves.
Also - extremely salty food.
Would not recommend.

Went only after seeing chef’s videos!
Chef Ranjan Dey please focus less on making videos and more on you dishes, I ordered a Dal tadka and paneer tikka masala, all you have to do is making it decent, great location but below average food.
Good job thanks Everyone

As an Indian customer, I was really disappointed with this restaurant. The food quality and quantity are simply not worth the high prices they charge. They advertise their dishes as being made with authentic Indian masalas, but I honestly couldn’t taste any real masala flavor in what I ordered. It felt like the food was made for people who aren’t familiar with genuine Indian spices. Overall, it was a complete waste of money for me, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for real Indian taste.

Genuinely impressed by quality.
Food came cold for the initial big order. Slow and poor service. Small portions. They say they use whole wheat flour but roti was with white flour. Avoid and pick better options first Indian food.

Staff didn't ask about food allergies when we ordered. Would have been nice if they asked what level of spice we would prefer. Staff asked if we wanted to keep dirty cutlery for our mains after using them for our starters - had to request fresh cutlery as they were reluctant to give. Would suggest rice dishes to be served in a bowl rather than plate as half of it ended up on the table.
The food and service were great, but the ambience is lacking. They keep the lighting extraordinarily bright. I felt I was at the doctors' office.
The names of dishes were familiar, however, everything was the BEST I've eaten. There were some unfamiliar dishes that the server recommended and now I've trying to find them in my local restaurants.

I had a wonderful dining experience at New Delhi Restaurant in San Francisco. The service was warm, attentive, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. Every staff member made sure we were well taken care of. The food was absolutely remarkable — full of authentic flavor, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully prepared. Each dish tasted fresh, vibrant, and truly memorable. It's clear that a lot of care and tradition goes into their cooking. If you're looking for excellent Indian cuisine with great service in the heart of San Francisco, I highly recommend New Delhi Restaurant. I will definitely be returning!
Delicious Indian food at a great price. The service was very good as well, and the chef is a delightful conversationalist. The parking deal with Hotel Nikko next door is a fantastic deal - we had cheap parking in downtown SF for dinner and a show!
