Delicious breakfast, fast service, nice and friendly owners. I especially liked California omelette and French toast. If I lived in SF, I would often have breakfast at New Taraval Cafe :)

Me, my mom and kiddo saw this little corner mom n pop cafe and decided to go in. Usually I'm skeptical since a lot of Mom and pops are disappearing in the city or lost the soul in cooking a great meal. But this place didn't disappoint!! The food was awesome and the staff was very nice. We had to wait since it's small but it was so worth it ?. Had the corn beef'n'hash and you can taste the love they put into it. Thank you! My mom and kiddo enjoyed themselves and that's hard to come by!
Kid-friendliness: Very nice family spot to bring the kiddos after playing at the park.

Nice community diner/breakfast place. Good good at reasonable prices. Lots of options. Not too much seating so you may have to wait a little if you come at the busy time. There is a counter you can eat at.

Quaint little brunch spot. Amazing hospitality. Extremely fresh and tasty food. It came out hot and was just what we were looking for! I had an omelet and mom had a patty melt! I was really impressed! Ask for Orlando or his wife. So incredibly kind and warm!

Overall I had a wonderful experience here. The cookies here on the weekends were excellent. Good texture contrast, nice crumble, not too sweet, and very flavorful.

Very friendly and helpful staff accommodating for dietary preferences
Dietary restrictions: Not extensive, but as someone who is gluten free and dairy free and egg free, I had sausage, potatoes and a fruit plate. All good.
Kid-friendliness: Have high chairs

A great find! Doesn’t look like much from the street but walk in and you’ll meet the friendliest staff and owner. We enjoyed yummy breakfast food and the owner very obviously loves his customers and community. He was great with our kids too! Highly recommend.

One of those places you hesitate to even write a review it is so good. Even better than the food, the hospitality. The warmth of this restaurant in a weekend morning is nothing short of incredible. I’ve gotten a number of things, from the pancakes, to the french toast, the mexican scramble, just about every combo you can imagine, and have never been let down. My recent favorite is the smash burger(I add a fried egg).
I’ve had family members back home demand me bring home a bottle of Orlando’s salsa once they’ve visited this place.

For a little diner/cafe it's really good. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, I watched the cook pull the chicken out of a refrigerator, dip it in batter and fry it..!! It was perfect cooked and very generous for $16.00 came with house made fries also freshly cooked.. Everyone is supper nice and the service was quick.. I will happily come back again.
Vegetarian options: The menu is not large, so there are two or three options
Wheelchair accessibility: First floor no steps, plenty of room for a chair

This is a great little gressy spoon in a perfect location on taraval in the Parkside area of the sunset district. The food is always on par as are the staff and the atmosphere is a compliment to the neighborhood.
