Food are not salty so is good for senior. Little MSG in the dish. Feel thirsty after. Not recommended.

I finally tried the much-talked-about Pan-Fried Rice Noodle at Noriega Cafe, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! Perfectly crisped noodles on top, and the perfect saucy meat-to-noodle ratio underneath. I ordered the savory pork & preserved pickle, but they also offer this dish with chicken or seafood, which I’m definitely coming back for.
The restaurant itself is a clean, and well-kept spot with a cozy vibe. Huge shoutout to Ann, the hostess—she was so friendly and made me feel welcome, even though I just came in for take-out. The menu is impressively extensive, packed with classic and delicious-sounding Cantonese dishes.
As someone always on the hunt for great Cantonese food, I’m thrilled to have found this neighborhood gem. Just go—you won’t regret it!

Our family (party of 7) had a wonderful dinner at Noriega Cafe this Saturday evening at 6:45pm. Parking was not too challenging and the restaurant was not too crowded. The interior is very clean and not very large- two large round tables and some smaller square tables. We ordered seven dishes- westlake soup, mapo tofu, salt and pepper spareribs, pumpkin with salted egg, fried rice with salted fish, a clay pot tofu dish, chow fun, and some greens with mushrooms. Everything was delicious and flavorful - not too salty (however we did request low sodium). The prices were reasonable for the generous portion sizes and the service by Christine was excellent. My favorite was the pumpkin with salted egg but everything was really good! Christine was very friendly and treated us like family. It made us definitely want to come back in the near future. I accidentally left a reusable bag behind and called the restaurant when I got home. Christine remembered us and said she saved the bag; she said she would set it aside for me to pick up whenever I could come by again. What a nice little restaurant! I’ll be recommending Noriega Cafe to anyone who wants great Chinese food and pleasant service!

Came here for the lunch specials. I guessed the prices went up from $11 to $12.99. There was a lot of rice in my take out order. The salt and pepper ribs looks more like batter fried and not much pepper or spice in there. There was too much batter coating the paper-thin meat. You got to wonder how careful you have to cut the meat to get it that thin. I was very hungry so I ate everything but left over a lot of rice.
I was doing a food pick up and a lady was asking me to tip them. Tipping should be a voluntary thing, I guess? Especially for pick-up?? Food is okay but never going to come back again.

It was my first time here and it was pretty good! We got some tofu and beef, seafood chow mein, congee, and a rice cake stir fry. I really enjoyed the tofu and beef, it’s super simple but still really flavorful! The seafood chow mein always hits the spot, it was also alot too!! Sampan Congee was good, I normally enjoy the 1000 year old egg with congee but the Sampan congee is very nostalgic for me! The stir fry rice cake was more for my family, not me, I’m not a huge fan of rice cake.

Great place for my family dinner/gathering. Casual atmosphere. Reserved a table for 10. Comfortable sitting. A wide variety of selections on the menu. Really enjoy the sizzling dishes on a hot iron platter (in my photo ) or in a clay pot. They are real comfort food in a SF chilly night. Good scallion steam chicken. Great services. Trying to meet all our needs. Will return soon for my own takeout or family dinner.

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants. I’ve been super happy with consistency and quality over last two years plus. Not sure what’s going on on some of the negative reviews. Being Chinese I’ve always felt it’s usually a real good sign when you see a lot of other middle aged and up Chinese eating at a Chinese restaurant. The woman serving everyone alone is amazing that she can serve and have a great sense of humor even when they are busy.

The food was horrible, unpalatable, tasted weird, the pig's trotters were hairy and tasted bad, the rice was of very poor quality, in general, it was all very unpalatable! It was gross and tasted very bad, and the quality of the rice was also very poor. Overall, it was all very unpalatable!
