Food was fine but not extraordinary. First several dishes were promising, but venison main was not very palatable. Staff were kind although some greeted my partner with Birthday greetings while others thought it was our Anniversary. Ultimately, we just didn't feel the quality of food justifies the cost.
An outstanding dining experience in both food and service. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. Much appreciated special attention was paid to fact we were celebrating a birthday. We will dine here again.
Great experience! This restaurant is amazing. The presentation and service is the about the best we've had in the city.
Great meal and service. The dining room ambiance is not great. Hire a talented designer to bring some charm and personality to the room.
We opted for the 9-course tasting menu, which we highly recommend over the 5-course option. Among the dishes that stood out, I particularly enjoyed the bread, abalone, langoustine, salmon, and squab. While some flavor combinations were a bit unconventional and didn't quite suit my taste, nothing was truly disappointing. Additionally, I chose the grand pairing, and it's evident that Anaïs invested considerable thought and effort into curating it. I highly recommend going on a wine journey guided by her expertise.
Welcoming on arrival and professional but very friendly throughout the meal. Presentation was lovely and flavors were perfect. Comfortable seating and nice, quiet noise level.
This restaurant seems to be about as good as it can get. The food is inventive, but accessible and delicious, the presentations are creative and beautiful, and the ambience is sophisticated and luxurious. O' is an excellent place to have a very expensive meal that's worth every penny one pays.
The table next to us watching tv on their phone loudly. Grand wine pairing was more expensive than the food but was skimpy and not generous in proportions
Amazing experience! Every dish was delicious and beautifully crafted. It's not your typical French course — we noticed subtle Japanese influences that added a wonderful surprise to the meal. We heard the chef travels to Asia often, and you can really taste that inspiration in the flavors. Would definitely love to come back again! Dessert will surprise you!!
The entire culinary staff is incredibly knowledgeable about the restaurant's history and each of the courses. Marc was especially fun to chat with, and we enjoyed his walkthrough of Chef Claude's cheese selection. The dessert selection was a perfect capstone!

My wife and I went here for our anniversary and it was such a unique and special dinner. The atmosphere is top noche and the food is definitely out of this world. And the service is amazing. The entire service team work so well together that the whole team is like a well choreographed act. Little details such as having all the course arrive at the same time and precisely hit the table at the exact same moment is just impeccable. We even get a little tour of the kitchen. It's no doubt that they are pricy, but it's and experience that we will never forget and would continue to talk about it with our friends and families for years to come.

Fun fact: The term “hospitality” derives from the Latin hospes, meaning both ‘host’ and ‘guest.’ In ancient times, hosts welcomed guests as family, while guests were expected to respect their host. Thus, true hospitality meant embodying both roles with grace.
That’s exactly the warmth we experienced at O' by Claude Le Tohic.
We had the honor of marking our 19th anniversary at this remarkable restaurant. The cuisine was nothing short of extraordinary. The wagyu, so delicate it seemed to dissolve on the tongue, was a triumph of flavor and texture. The abalone, cooked with flawless precision, ranked among the finest we’ve ever tasted, while the langoustine shone with vibrant freshness and depth. A standout was the lavish serving of caviar, elevating each bite into a decadent indulgence.
The staff’s seamless coordination was a marvel to witness. Every dish arrived in perfect sync, with the team’s subtle glances and silent communication adding a layer of artistry to the service.
The desserts were almost too stunning to choose from, each one a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Deciding on just one was a testament to their visual and culinary allure.
My heartfelt thanks go to Chef Claude for his dedication to San Francisco’s dining scene and for assembling such an exceptional team. Every element of the O' experience—from the spotless kitchen to the meticulous care in every detail—reflects a deep passion for excellence. The love for cuisine and commitment to hospitality shine through in every aspect of this restaurant.

The staff were very accommodating and welcoming. As usual with these types of restaurants, they were very attentive and catering to their patrons.
I hate to compare places but we recently ate at Modern in NYC and this experience was 10x better. Chef you and your staff have worked diligently to create a wonderful experience and it shows.
The desserts down stairs were a wonderful treat to pre order as well.
The music was not too overwhelming and actually helped set the mood with tasteful tracks

O' by Claude Le Tohic, on this dinner and on a previous dinner, served us a meal that matches up favorably with the finest tables in the world. A throwback in its use of French sauces and culinary ambition, it blends a Japanese-style kaiseki feel in its presentation and pacing. Not a single dish disappointed, but the seafood salad, the cod, the wagyu beef (a supplement worth supplementing) and the disassembled chocolate cherry cake were truly memorable. In addition, the service was warm and highly professional without being overbearing. The meal of a lifetime that arrives without over-the-top pretension and fuss, by a chef and staff who love food and wine. The wine list, just in passing, is one of the finest in Northern California.
