I chose Ofena to have my office holiday lunch, which was a group of nine. The place is nice, looking freshly remodeled (which I believe it is). Service was good and attentive. I had the Ferrone sandwich, which was very tasty and came with a side of pickled vegetables. Most of my group had the lunch special, which is a cup of soup, a half sandwich (diner's choice) and a small salad. One person had the Carbonara, which was unusual in that it was gnocci instead of a traditional long pasta and used duck vs. port. Very inventive. Everyone enjoyed their food. I shared the Cannoli desert. One cannoli was definitely enough to satisfy. A nicely done desert, which we both enjoyed a lot. Every dish served was well executed and I noticed their precision to the plating. The pricing is very reasonable! I definitely expect to come back to try their dinner service.
First time eating at Ofena, excellent restaurant, food and ambiance. Celebrated 2 birthdays and for the holidays. Only disappointment was I expected a birthday dessert for 2 guest which I checked in advance for but wasn't done.
I had an amazing experience at Ofena Restaurant. The food was outstanding from start to finish. My favorite dish of the night was the soft polenta with truffle mascarpone creamy, rich, and absolutely unforgettable. The bone-in steak was cooked perfectly to a juicy medium rare, and the gigante beans were a surprising highlight rich, flavorful, and beautifully seasoned. Ofena also has a fantastic selection of wines and cocktails to pair with everything. We skipped the pasta this time, but from what we saw on other tables, the portions were generous, beautifully plated, and definitely something we'll try on our next visit. The service was exceptional. Our server John was incredibly attentive, the General Manager personally stopped by to check on us, and even Chef Paul came out to say hello. The whole atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and professional. Overall, Ofena truly delivers great food, great service, and great vibes. Amazing job, Ofena! We'll be back again soon.
The food was too plain for the prices. The pasta & eggplant dish we had too dry. The eggplant a little tough. The service was friendly and efficient.
Ofena is exactly the kind of neighborhood spot you want — warm, welcoming, and delicious. We were treated so well (thank you!) and loved the focaccia, especially the mortadella. The gnocchi with duck prosciutto was rich and perfect, and the pork chop was cooked just right. The creamy polenta is a must — silky and comforting. Peas salad kept things bright, and the arancini were crispy and cheesy. Loved the martini with a focaccia garnish — such a fun touch. Service was thoughtful but relaxed, which made the night even better. Can’t wait to come back for more food and cocktails.

This is definitely a hidden gem. Tucked away and just off of 19th Ave. Beautiful decor with an upscale feel to it. We were greeted by the hostess and promptly seat as we have reservations.
For drinks, we started of with some thirst quenching Italian sodas. Followed by some of Fluffy and light focaccia with garlic, olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. OMG! Do I think it is worth it? I could have eaten 3 orders of just that. Their Cesar salad topped with anchovies. So refreshing.
For Entrees, we chose two dishes the risotto and rigatoni.
Their rigatoni came with sliced sausages, meatballs and wonderfully thick sauce. That was on a whole other level.
Everything is Great on the menu.

Hidden away from the hipsters of San Francisco in the adorable and unassuming corner on Ocean Ave is this neighborhood gem. Their hand made pastas and great Italian wine selections make this a favorite among those of us who love Italy and Italian food. It's so nice not to have to travel all the way to Russian Hill to get authentic Italian food. Yum yum yum, we love to see it (and eat it)!

Comfortable dining experience for ladies who lunch. Very good value. Varied menu. I never feel rushed.
I don't recommend this place for Italian food. At least not the family option. The drinks were great. We went for the family 3 options dinner. We received a small appetizer plate, a good salad and a house pasta with a 21 dollar fee for adding chicken. The chicken had all the skin and fat. The pasta was a bit more like chow mein than pasta. We spent about 70 per person for this food. Not worth it unfortunately.

This is a nice neighborhood restaurant with plenty of metered parking nearby. We all had the rigatoni with sausage and meatballs for lunch. Very good. Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing. Everyone should try this place. I remember their dinner menu was great.
It's just a coffee shop environment. It's clean and in a nice family neighborhood . The staff was friendly. The prices for salads and entrees were higher than any comparable Italian restaurant in the area. Unlike most Italian restaurants they did not even put sourdough and bread on the table. They did have a bar and nice desserts.
