Ofena is exactly the kind of neighborhood spot you want — warm, welcoming, and delicious. We were treated so well (thank you!) and loved the focaccia, especially the mortadella. The gnocchi with duck prosciutto was rich and perfect, and the pork chop was cooked just right. The creamy polenta is a must — silky and comforting. This is definitely a hidden gem. Tucked away and just off of 19th Ave. Beautiful decor with an upscale feel to it. We were greeted by the hostess and promptly seat as we have reservations.

Hidden away from the hipsters of San Francisco in the adorable and unassuming corner on Ocean Ave is this neighborhood gem. Their hand made pastas and great Italian wine selections make this a favorite among those of us who love Italy and Italian food. It's so nice not to have to travel all the way to Russian Hill to get authentic Italian food. Yum yum yum, we love to see it (and eat it)!
