Delicious burger, tacos and a bounty of both boozy and non-alcoholic beer and cocktail options. Nice outdoor seating. Highly recommend. Updated from previous review on 2025-08-24
We really need more places like Om Sabor in SF. They have quality and interesting vegan dishes in a spot that’s great for dinner dates or intimate get togethers with friends. The menu is more vegetable forward than fake meat forward, which is perfect for my tastes. And the prices are right for what you’re getting.
Overall good experience and food here. There is a back and front area to this space. The back has lots of seating and DJ, though I found it too loud back there to be able to converse. The front of the space has less seating, but also includes the bar. Lighting can be dim throughout. Servings are tapas style and are a fusion of all kinds of fun foods. Can't remember exactly what I ordered by name, but got the beet salad, Korean bbq cauliflower wings, , and risotto with vegetables and I think some kind of vegan chicken. Everything came out quickly and tasted fabulous. 1-2 plates per person seems about right depending how hungry you are. Did not try any of the drinks. Everything was reasonably priced, though more on the high side for the portion. Would definitely come back. Updated from previous review on 2025-07-23
Om Sabor was EXTREMELY tasty. I was a little too hungry so I ordered too much, and I'm SO GLAD I did! Highlights: - The clam chowder was INSANE. I've been looking for a vegan clam chowder for a decade, and I am OBSESSED with what they've done here. So creamy & savory with all the right textures. - The chik'n skewers blew me away. I think it's a mole sauce on them, and I was LICKING my fingers. So delicious and the chewiness was so satisfying. - Tres Leches cake scratched an itch I didn't even know I had. It was freaking beautiful. - Crab arancini was tasty, as was the pesto mac & cheese. Would probably order something else on the menu next time to see what other creative achievements in vegan cuisine are on the menu!
This was my first time dining with Om Sabor. The presentation was artistic and beautiful, and the flavors were out of this world. We ordered Carne Asada nachos, fries, tostadas and clam chowder and all were so delicious. Also, the atmosphere and service was top-tier. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a delicious vegan bite to eat or you want to bring your non-vegan friends and show them how diverse and amazing vegan food can really be.
Chef Danisa and Luis are amazing and super friendly. I called the restaurant to ask if they could accommodate my allergies to gluten and onion/garlic and chef Danisa responded with so much kindness. She pre-prepped a lot of the menu items to accommodate my allergies. No one has done that before to this extent and I am so grateful because it’s very hard to find restaurants that will cater to my allergies. It goes without saying the service was amazing. The food was great too. I loved the furkake fries, the tacos, the tres leche cake. Mocktails were yummy too! Thank you Chef Danisa.
I went with my partner in the evening and ordered Al Pastor Tacos. There was nothing to note, I guess the spicy sauce on the side was somewhat nice but these tacos certainly didn't blow my mind. But what was the most disappointing and led me to write this review was the amount of avocado I got. I paid $3 for extra avocado and what I got was single, very thin slice for each taco. I was traveling and I do understand food is not cheap, but even if I lived in SF, I would never go there again. Happycow didn't let me rate this place 1 star but I would. Staff was nice at least. Edited to add: the menu on their website says it's $1 for extra avo but I am certain I paid $3 Updated from previous review on 2025-06-09
I cannot believe the small cup of clam chowder I received after paying 15 dollars for the bowl! Absolutely horrendous and embarrassing. Never going back again.
It was a small cup for a child with two small pieces of bread. I had to go eat something else to fill up. Plus I paid tip. Wow! 🤯
Had the potato gratin, it was very tasty! Portion size was a bit on the small side though, in particular there could have been more potato as it is the namesake of the dish. Had ganache for dessert which was good.
the mac and the clam chowder were really rich and creamy. arancini and cauliflower wings were also good! I liked the pretzel bun on the burger.

Just had the most delightful experience of dining at Om Sabor Great service was punctuated by some simple but very tasty. Vegan dishes. I was with a non-vegan and she thoroughly enjoyed it. We started with the cauliflower wings and moved into a Caesar salad with chicken and avocado, and finished with the chocolate ganache pastry. I highly recommend this restaurant. One of its best attributes is that it is very different from other vegan spots in the Bay Area menuwise.
Om Sabor is a great vegan spot with a solid menu. We loved the vegan crab cakes — crispy, tasty, and paired with a great sauce. The chik’n paella skewers and the mac & cheese with soy chicken were also very good. It’s definitely on the higher end price-wise, but worth it for the flavor. Plus, they’re open late on weekdays, and the staff and vibe inside were awesome. We finished with a vegan tres leches cake, which was light and the perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommend!
The restaurant was fine and food was quite good however towards the end of our meal we saw a mouse in the restaurant running around the floor. This was definitely a turn off.
Delicious food. Nice ambience and high fidelity sound - not the usual bar speaker system.
top notch and flavorful 💚
