When I visit Thai restaurants, I always get the same things - pad thai, green curry, and pad see ew. Oraan Thai Eatery offers Northern Thai specialty dishes that definitely broadened my horizons in terms of thai food! I'll list some of my favorites below (: *Pineapple Soda Such a refreshing drink that I don't mind having 10 of. It's not too sweet and has a subtle creaminess to it that left me wanting more! *Thai Iced Tea This isn't your average drink - they actually use 3 different types of thai tea to make this. I could definitely taste the difference and recommend this to all thai tea lovers. *Gai Manow This is fried chicken with their house made lemon cream sauce with crispy Chinese broccoli. Honestly this was my favorite dish. The minced chicken was light and crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. The sauce gave it a nice creamy flavor and I can't wait to be back to order this again. *Sukho Thai Noodle If you're looking for flavor bomb, this dish is for you! This is thai rice noodle topped with roasted pork, crispy pork slices, green beans, peanuts, and chili lime fish sauce. The broth is SO flavorful and good this was the other favorite dish of mine (:

Oraan Thai is a modern restaurant offering a creative take on Thai dishes with bold flavors! My favorite (and the most unusual) dish on the menu was the Gai Manow, a round, flat patty made of minced chicken coated and fried in a crispy panko batter, topped with a lemon cream sauce, and surrounded by crispy Chinese broccoli. This was unlike any other Thai dish I've had before and reminded me almost of Japanese Yoshoku ("Western food"), and the perfectly crispy chicken paired nicely with the lemon cream sauce. For our mains, the Moo Pik Kang were stewed pork ribs sautéed in an explosively spicy, aromatic red chili paste, mixed with coconut milk, bell peppers, fresh peppercorns, basil, and kaffir lime leaves. The Nuer Marakot was a juicy, sliced medium steak, topped with green curry and served over a mixture of bamboo, Thai eggplant, and carrots. Finally, the Pad Thai Kung Mae Nam was a generous portion of sweet, sour, and savory stir-fried rice noodles with egg, tofu, chives, bean sprouts, and crushed peanuts, served with two huge split and grilled river prawns. Though the noodles were chewy and undercooked, the prawns had a perfectly crispy texture and seafoody flavor, and the best part was (of course) the head! Overall, the food at this neighborhood spot was delicious and on point, the service was friendly, and the value and portion sizes were generous too!

We went there last night and it was amazing! Food, service and ambiance was a five star. Noodles in pad Thai were excellent and so was the shrimp.

This is my new favorite restaurant. Everything about it was just over the top fantastic. The food was 5-star plus, absolutely delicious and that's what I always focus on above and beyond everything else although the service was great too. The servers were friendly and helpful, very attentive without being intrusive. Again, the food was outstanding. I felt like I was in the hands of excellent chefs of Thai gourmet providing unique specialty dishes, contemporary cutting-edge cuisine using rich and complex ingredients/flavors. The experience sent my taste buds soaring. I will go back again and again and try everything on this varied menu.

This place is so gooooooooood! You have to come here and eat, period. We had the fried eggplant, papaya salad, pork ribs, steamed garlic broccoli, and delicious steak. So so good.

What a great addition to the Richmond district! They've been open for 5 months and we finally had the chance to try them out. Everything was great and flavorful. Service was 10/10! Which is rare now a days. Ambiance is super clean, parking maybe tough on a weekend. I recommend making reservations for dinner.

We did enjoy our dinner tonight The restaurant is clean, well kept and the service was very polite We shared fried eggplants stick and it was light and tasty Then I had Tofu bell pepper and eggplants with a side of rice and my wife had beef with a green sauce a bit too spicy but good We can't wait to get back and try other things on the menu

We came here on a Sunday night and the food was spectacular!! We ordered the yellow curry with tofu and could taste the coconut with the perfect level of spice. The servers were so kind and filled our drinks continuously. The aesthetic of the restaurant was very cute and modern. I absolutely loved this place and will be back! Check it out!!!

Best tom yum in San Francisco! I've tried 6 Thai restaurants and all have come up short, but Oraan has the PERFECT flavor balance for tom yum. Medium spicy is good if you want to enjoy the flavor without any burning, and Hot is perfect if you want to get the endorphins flowing. My only regret is that they don't deliver and I have to pay exorbitant DoorDash fees to get it all the way up to Nob Hill.

Came here with a friend for lunch and it was so delicious! Easily one of the best Thai spots I've had here in the city, especially given its more unique dish offerings. My standout favorites were the Gai Manow and Sukho Thai Noodle. Service was excellent and the wait staff was so friendly! Plus they have great recommendations if you're having a tough time choosing between all the delicious options. Highly recommend this spot and can't wait to come back!

Really good thai food at a reasonable price point. We had the porsod appetizer and then pad makuer and vege pad seew as mains and enjoyed everything. The rice noodles were perfectly seasoned and the veggies were fresh and crisp. The sauce of the pad makuer was rich and garlicky and the eggplant was well cooked. Service was excellent and there is lots of seating inside. Will definitely return
