This was one of the best bars in SF. I'll clarify what I mean: they have honest prices and real, nice patrons who help keep the order. The cherry on top is the owner who treats everyone like her own family.
If you are looking for a friendly dive bar in the Inner Richmond, with welcoming patrons, and an especially welcoming owner, come to Happy Lounge! This has remained my favourite bar in San Francisco over the last 7 years living in the neighbourhood, and you will just have to come yourself to experience the magic. Strong pool playing community; darts board; back room for private events... and the best bartender of all time: Patti!
