The food was above average in taste/quality but the service was slow/poor and it's overpriced (I.e. $500+ for six guests with no alcohol).
Good for a business lunch! Great atmosphere/decor, delicious (but not truly excellent) food

Very bad food. An Italian would be outraged there. They put spaghetti on the menu then send you bucatini and say it’s what they normally do. The meatballs were tasteless and dry, the carbonara was not a carbonara in a million years. The ravioli was fine… difficult to mess up a vegetarian ravioli.

A couple of important caveats before I dive in: 1) I only came here for lunch, and 2) this is an Italian restaurant, and all I ordered was a salad—so yes, this review is a little unfair. But only a little.
Given that this place is located in the Four Seasons and carries an elevated, upscale atmosphere, I expect that everything on the menu—regardless of how simple—should reflect a baseline of quality and care. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
I ordered the chopped salad, and it was hands down one of the most tasteless, uninspired, and bare-bones salads I’ve ever had. Especially at $24, it felt like a joke. I have no issue paying for good food, but this tasted like someone ran through Trader Joe’s, grabbed a bag of mixed greens, a handful of olives, and doused it in a forgettable vinaigrette. Honestly, a pre-packaged Trader Joe’s salad would’ve had more thought, more flavor, and more value.
I’ve had incredible, even memorable salads at high-end restaurants—salads that feel like part of the experience. This was the opposite: a missed opportunity, and completely off-brand for the Four Seasons. It left me wondering how much (or how little) attention is given to the rest of the menu.

Supermarket package mix green salat with very little besides this. The price is ridiculous for what you get that it is offensive. I live in the Bay Area knowing the SF DT area food prices and it can be pricey for what you get, but this was appalling.
Orafo is a hidden gem perched above San Francisco’s Financial District — a restaurant that blends California boldness with classic Italian soul, all wrapped in Four Seasons elegance. I came here for two breakfasts and one indulgent lunch, and each meal was a perfect mix of thoughtful preparation, fresh ingredients, and flawless service.
The space itself is stunning: airy and sunlit during the day, warm and intimate at night. Whether you're seated by the windows or tucked into a cozy banquette, it feels like a refined escape from the busy city below.
Must-orders: the seafood soup — rich, comforting, and full of depth — and the perfectly seared steak, which was easily one of the best I’ve had in SF. Everything from the plating to the pacing felt intentional and quietly luxurious.
Whether you're staying at the hotel or not, Orafo is absolutely worth a visit. It’s effortlessly chic, never pretentious, and ideal for anything from business meetings to slow, indulgent meals above the city.

Wonderful experience celebrating my little sisters wedding! The servers had amazing attention to detail and we fully enjoyed our meal. Rami was are waiter and he was so delightful! Perfect place to have an intimate meal.
Ansley was fantastic! Great recommendations and service. The Brutus Caesar was perfectly spicy- refreshing twist on a staple. The ribeye was also a quality cut with exceptional flavor. Drinks were top quality- we enjoyed the old fashion with woodenville rye and it was sooo excellent we opted for a rare round 2. We were looking for an easy dinner while staying at the 4 seasons and, based on quality, will now repeat for other day parts. So good!

Really terrible food all around. I can't say I have ever had such a terrible oyster. The oyster was old and served WARM. My clients were very disappointed and considering how amazing the food in FiDi is, I will likely never be back.
The food ambiance and service are all amazing. Attentive service without being overwhelming. The food is delicious. The taramisu pancakes are unique and so delicious.
Service was excellent. We came for breakfast and the food was delicious!

Service was very slow. I had to ask for a water refill and my coffee order was incorrect. They seemed short-staffed and it didn't make sense to seat tables all over the restaurant when there was only one server. The server was running all around the restaurant trying to keep up. I ordered in-room dining my second morning because I didn't want to tolerate slow service again.
Dines here twice and both times had an amazing experience. Best in-house made pasta, excellent trout and to die for cocktails. 👌🏻
