I know stonemill matcha gets a lot of hype, but honestly a little overrated. The matcha here? Surprisingly insane. Excellent, smooth, rich and flavorful. The way the shop looks is a turn off because it reminds me of a cellphone store (which I thought it was), but it's actually really damn good.

Amazing! I ordered the matcha forest with coconut milk and this is probably the best matcha I've had to date! They use a generous amount of high quality matcha, and the drink was naturally sweet while still tasting like matcha. The coconut milk had a very subtle taste once stirred and the cream and matcha blended so well. Can't wait to come back and try the other flavors!

I was very impressed by Outset's diverse menu featuring unique ingredients including toasted banana, durian, black sesame, and osmanthus. They also have a great selection of toasts and croissants, but I was most interested in the osmanthus latte. The floral flavor wasn't too overpowering or sweet but rounded out the slight bitterness of the coffee. I'd love to come back and try the rest of their menu!

Super unique flavors! Their mini box cakes were great - both in terms of taste and presentation. Their coffees are very creative with how they're incorporating Asian flavors and ingredients. I got the Osmanthus Latte which was creamy yet refreshing. The floral flavor was not overpowering, which was my biggest hesitation with ordering this. My friend got the Black Sesame Mudside Latte which was delicious as well. The sesame did sink to the bottom from time to time, but that's expected from any similar drink. I'd definitely come back to try their other lattes!

Came here early Friday morning for some coffee and while I do think the coffee they use for their drinks are good. I just didn't feel wowed by the drinks we ordered. I originally wanted the donut latte but it only comes as a hot beverage and I prefer iced lattes. Per the workers recommendation he said the day & night would be a good alternative. I found the flavors of day & night conflicting and didn't mesh well together. I would not order this one again. The toasted banana latte was fine and I did like that they put real banana purée but I thought the drink was just okay. At least the quality of espresso beans and coffee in their drinks are good. I would definitely come back but unfortunately these two menu items weren't it for me. Day & night 2/5 Toasted banana latte 3.5/5

Osmanthus latte with oat milk was surprisingly excellent. Not many places do osmanthus and get the flavor balance right. It was fragrant but not overpowering, lightly floral. I'd never had it with a coffee drink but it worked. Less sweet adjustment was also great, actually less sweet. They have all the adjustments you'd expect from a boba tea shop but the inventive flavors paired with coffee will keep me returning.

Interesting drink ideas but execution can be lacking. Americano was very good but the Cortado was unbalanced and overly sour. I also got a more innovative drink and it didn't contain coffee even though the website heavily implies that it does.

Simply amazing. We tried the Ocean Breeze Latte, which was really refreshing, creamy and a tiny bit sour. It was different and really good. Also, we tried the Black Sesame Mudslide, which is definitely the best black sesame coffee I’ve ever tried.I like how this place is able to bring a different type of coffee without dairy and still be remarkable. We were in SF for only a few days and visited this place twice, that’s how good it was.By the way, unpopular opinion but the chairs were REALLY comfy so I also recommend this place to work or study.
Went for a morning coffee on a weekend and there was no wait. The shop is pretty small with limited counter seating. Order was made in about 5minutes. 6/10 Durian Latte $7 - As a someone who loves durian I expected this drink to be very good but it was a let down. The durian is fresh, sweet, and creamy which was awesome and they also gave a solid portion of it. The coffee latte was average in my opinion. However, mixing the two was not that great of a flavor profile surprisingly. The durian did make the drink creamier but the bitterness from coffee did not pair well with the durian flavor. Both are good alone but not together. Rating is just for this drink. I would come back to try others.

The drinks were mid. I was disappointed in the donut latte. I was super excited to try it but it ended up just tasting like an average latte at any coffee chain. The espresso wasn't as strong as I'd like and the hot chocolate was ok. The torched marshmallow was a nice touch. The service was alright. The workers were friendly and you can also order via kiosk if it gets too busy. It was pretty empty when we visited.

A must try if you want to taste a wide assortment of Asian-inspired coffee drinks! I came by on a Saturday morning with my girlfriend, and we got the Ocean Breeze and Toasted Banana Lattes. The ordering was through a kiosk which was easy to use, and our drinks came out pretty quickly. The space itself is a bit small, but it created a nice opportunity to speak with the baristas who were knowledgeable and kind. The drinks themselves were really good! The Ocean Breeze Latte was pleasant and slightly sweet, but a bit too creamy for me. The Toasted Banana Latte was amazing though. It had muddled banana at the bottom that really complimented the coffee! I definitely want to come back and try one of their simpler drinks next time since I saw that they use specialty coffee (Onyx Coffee) for their drinks and personally enjoy a stronger coffee taste in my drinks.
