What a lovely canopy design using bright yellow and red colors : a white colored ( perhaps Goth ) Roman slithering down , with arms holding grapes and legs that are spread or perhaps splayed , crown of leaves that makes him look playful, a neat garland that circles the mirthful face. I wish the deli within was as good looking - it’s more a warehouse where sandwiches are made. I wish there were more tables and chairs and a while interiors to sit comfortably.

Sandwiches made fresh to order

A small Sicilian style deli carrying sandwiches and other foods. The shop may be small but the foods tasted great and felt authentic. Very little seating so you may have to that your foods to go if they’re crowded.

Very good Deli sandwiches. They are large and delicious. However, at $16-17 for just the sandwich, the prices are a bit too high for what they are, should be a few dollars less.

Met the owner Vince who we enjoyed chatting with. Sandwiches were amazing and I loved the imported goods.
Definitely will be a regular spot every time we're in the area!

One of my favorite Italian sandwich shops. They use the best and the freshest ingredients and the sandwich is always delicious.

So much meat freshly sliced! Sandwich was huge. They had a great selection of pantry items too. The beans in the cold case was a bit odd.

I often come here to purchase Chinotto. It's a carbonated citrus beverage from Italy.Today I had a meatloaf sandwich.Better than the fabled Herb's meatloaf sandwich.Unfortunately it was drizzling so I did not sit out in front at the convenient tables and chairs. It's a nice Sunny spot. It's always my pleasure to do business with a local entrepreneur. We got to support them or the chains will move in and warp the neighborhood.Come for one of the myriad sandwiches from the menu. Stay for the hometown appeal.Enjoy!

My favorite sandwich in North Beach! Pass on Molinari’s hour long wait and 1930s ordering system and come here. Fair prices for great food and a wide selection of Italian goods!

The owner's a bit of a busybody and a big fan of a certain orange former president (not something i gleaned from talking him; he'll volunteer the info). Still I felt bad for him given that he does more or less a similarly good sandwich as Molinari's a few doors down-- gave him some business, even recommended the place to out of town friends. Verdict: he doesn't do eggplant parm but the rest of his meats are good quality and his bread in the same tier as that famous deli next door. The Arancini weren't fresh but he has a decent selection of imported cookies and crisps from Italy.
Don't even think about driving here by the way; parking is absolutely impossible.
