Its a nice quiet little spot to enjoy some Vietnamese food. I had the Bun Ga Nuong (Vermicelli and grilled chicken) and it was a delightful meal. Portions were spot on for lunch, the sauces and sides were flavorful and nicely balanced, and the chicken was cooked right. Cant wait to go back to try some of their other items on the menu.
It’s the only Vietnamese place in an area full of Italian people and food. In its own way it’s become a quiet and meaningful landmark in its own right. It’s self - possessed and created its own belonging . And that’s what I like about it . One of the most frequently recommended restaurants that I never go to : they just don’t have their heart into making of any vegetarian meals for me ; but it’s admired by one and all.
The food was good and reasonably priced. However, I had an uncomfortable experience with what seemed to be the owner. When I paid my bill and left a tip I felt was fair, she questioned the amount and pushed for more. It felt unprofessional, as tips are appreciated but not mandatory.
