Pitt's Pub, formerly known as Pittsburgh's, maintains its friendly neighborhood vibe despite a name change. The owner's love for the Steelers is evident with memorabilia like a "Terry Bradshaw Sings" LP on display. This dive bar in the Irving Street-Judah Street area offers live bands, a unique selection of beer and liquor, and a fun atmosphere. A longtime local recalls fond memories of the bar from the 1960s, adding to the charm of Pitt's Pub.
The bar is old school, with a little bit of Tiki, and mainly filled with locals. Parking in the area is atrocious, but the chill vibe makes it worth it. They have the usual spirits, some pretty good craft beers on tap, and a couple of non-alcoholic beer options. The hurricanes are extremely strong—so strong there’s a warning sign limiting customers to two. Live DJ and singing happen the last Friday of the month, though it can get loud early. You can bring your own food, and the $15 card minimum makes cash or the on-site ATM handy. Super friendly and welcoming, it’s the kind of place where bartenders remember your drink and locals bring their dogs. Play pool and pinball, meet wonderful people, and enjoy a spot that doesn’t feel too touristy.
