Players Sports Grill & Arcade at Pier 39 is a fun place to take a break, grab a bite, and enjoy a few games. While the arcade is on the smaller side, it still offers a nice selection of games that make for an enjoyable visit. The lively atmosphere and convenient location make it a great stop while exploring the waterfront.

Go to the bar in the back by the bay! Fantastic drinks... the bartender makes delicious drinks... if he moves from this bar, plz update me 🤣 thats how good they are!
Seated immediately, nice atmosphere.
Beer was served quickly and was very cold.
We ordered wings and nachos. Unfortunately I think they made the nachos too early while the wings took longer to make. The nachos arrived ice cold and the queso had gone lumpy. We ate it anyways, but I’d recommend asking for your order to be delivered to the table as soon as they are ready rather than waiting for the other dishes to be ready.

This is a typical touristy sports bar right on the pier. We sat down to watch some sports and it had a lively atmosphere with lots of television screens and plenty of tables and space.
The watermelon margaritas were delicious. Service was decent. Unfortunately the clam chowder was quite watery and not very nice.
It’s a convenient spot if you’re in the area and want to catch a game with a drink, but the food was a bit disappointing.

Great place at the pier! I love the arcade! They have a quite small selection of prizes but the games are really fun! Definitely a must go for children. Prices are OK, i feel like some of the arcade games are a bit pricey but it’s fine. Staff is very friendly and overall a great experience. Food is good, they have a good menu and something for everyone. Defenitely recommend when around in the area. Also a good place to watch sports, they have large TVs.

Very disappointing experience.
We came in during the World Cup fully expecting the venue to be busy, but there’s a difference between being busy and being unprepared.
When we arrived there was only one employee trying to manage the bar, take orders, serve drinks and look after a packed venue. It was obvious from the start that they had been put in an impossible position. This is not a criticism of the staff member, who was working hard the entire time. The fault lies squarely with management.
We’ve now been here for nearly 40 minutes and still haven’t received our food. It took far too long just to place an order, and the whole operation seemed overwhelmed from the moment we walked in.
A second employee eventually arrived, but it was clear they were playing catch-up rather than providing proper service. With the FIFA World Cup drawing huge crowds, management should have anticipated demand and rostered enough staff to cope. Instead, customers are left frustrated and employees are left trying to manage an impossible workload.
The most frustrating part is that this was completely predictable. Major sporting events don’t appear out of nowhere. Better planning and staffing would have made all the difference.
I genuinely feel for the staff working tonight, but management has let both its employees and customers down.

We had a great time here. The food was spot‑on: every dish was delicious, even with the classic carb‑heavy pub style menu. Honestly couldn’t find a single fault in what we ate. Service was on the slower side, but the staff were friendly and it didn’t take away from the experience. With screens everywhere, it’s an amazing place to watch the World Cup (or any other sports) and soak up the atmosphere. Would happily come back.

If you need a disappointing meal, average beer and a miserable bar tender, then look no further than this sports bar hidden away at the back of pier 39.

Came here on a Friday afternoon and were seated promptly-no wait. Friendly service and got a quiet seat near the window looking into the water. Food came out fast and was delicious.

My friend and I stopped here for dinner and really loved it.
Servers seemed very busy, but always kind and welcoming. Not a fan of seafood, had a burger which was really good. Lots of options! Definitely recommend the Spicy Margarita!
Would definitely come back!

We were seated in the back tiki area with a view of Alcatraz and the bridge, but the windows were hard to see clearly through. We did not enjoy the clam chowder or the crab sandwich. I asked for an extra dirty martini with lots of olive juice and it just tasted like vodka and vermouth. There was only the one bartender serving all of the tables and drinks at the bar so service was slow…not his fault, but it was our first stop on our weekend trip so we weren’t impressed. Won’t be back, unfortunately.
