One of the best, most inventive, sandwich places in the city. This has been our go-to for the past 8 years.

Delicious toasted sandwiches (with well distributed ingredients)! The service here is friendly. I've been here a handful of times and it's been consistent & the sandwiches are large - a meal and a snack for me.

The best sandwiches I love this place great customer service and awesome sandwiches that are toasted to perfection. This a new favorite spot for and will be going for years I'm sure of it. Don't believe try for yourselves and see if you don't need a sandwich rehabilitation center after.

Really nice family-owned sandwich spot with some great people working there. The food is good but the one thing I'd change is the wait time. I once waited for a sandwich for 30 min and there was hardly anyone in the shop.

Really yummy sandwiches. Nice and toasted. The Lancelotti is too good. Feels like a hidden gem.

This is a great local business that supports the community. The sandwiches are excellent and the service is too. Their sweet roll is the best.

Cute neighborhood sandwich shop. The food is soo good. The Herbs sandwich is a must. As is the Lancelotti Special. Bread is toasted and the ingredients are top quality. This is run by locals and one of those few San Francisco treasures left. Really a can't miss.

I feel bad giving a 1-star review but it’s really the only rating that feels appropriate.1. They screwed up my sandwich the past four times I went. My order is not complicated by any stretch. In fact it’s pretty simple.2. The portions are small…I mean tiny. I don’t need (or want) a humongous sandwich but the size is minuscule - the smallest I’ve seen in San Francisco by far, and I’ve been to dozens of delis throughout the city. It’s not as though their prices are lower. Not at all. Their prices are actually on par with some of the most expensive sandwiches I’ve had in SF.3. Last but certainly not least, the wait. It’s bad. Like real bad. Like nothing I’ve experienced before. I don’t mean waiting like 10-12 minutes. Today I waited 31 minutes for my sandwich! The wait is always atrocious, so much so that it’s usually what deters me from going. It’s not as though the sandwiches are amazing and the lines are out the door. No. It’s because they are not well-organized, not well-staffed, and they don’t operate efficiently. Not to mention they need to expand their sandwich making area and add another 1-2 employees. They have this big dining area where people just stand around waiting for their sandwich. They need to expand into that space so they have more sandwich making capacity.Unfortunately I won’t be going back.
