Wow - the shrimp, the scallops, the sea bass ... It's all so good! Highly recommend the outdoor seating on a pretty day
We spent a Friday night at Piecita Social in San Francisco, and was totally amazed by the food quality here.
The highlights:
Hand Roll Uni & Caviar: The absolute best way to start our dinner. It’s loaded with sushi rice, Maine lobster and celery. Caviar really does gave us a nice kick, and paired with uni makes it feel super creamy
Heritage Pork Chop: Probably the star of the night. It came out a bit undercooked (is it safe to eat medium rare pork ?🥹?), but honestly, the flavor was so good I didn't even care. The combination of maple-mustard and sesame sauce is god-made 👌
Wild Mushroom Sizzling Rice: Don't know why we ordered a vegetarian dish because we're meat lovers and we never order anything without meat, but I just got a tiny bit of curiosity when I saw they poured dashi broth over the crunchy rice on Tiktok and immediately wanted to try! Just know that it was the best decision, the mushrooms, the squash, and rice... they belong to each other. And definitely add an egg (not just for protein) but I kinda like it cause I felt like I'm eating bibimbap
Black Cod: Girl was officially obsessed with the miso butter here. It perfectly glazed the fish, and even the sautéed spinach on the side was seasoned perfectly
Hand-Rolled Tonnarelli: This was the only real letdown. I had high hopes, but it was just... salty. I couldn't taste the pasta or the sauce because of it. Thank god we’d already eaten the other dishes or it might’ve killed the vibe.
Overall: Great spot for a Friday in the city. Still scared of getting parasites from eating undercooked pork, but I'm literally Viet and I've grown up eating nem chua so should be fine. Will keep you posted if I get diarrhea 😔

Precita Social is a solid neighborhood spot with creative, well‑prepared dishes and a fun vibe, but it’s definitely on the pricier side with smaller portions. The food is good overall—flavorful, thoughtful, and plated nicely—but you’ll leave wanting just a bit more for the price.
That said, the **pork belly rice** is the standout on the menu and absolutely worth ordering. The pork is rich and tender, perfectly balanced over rice with a nice mix of savory and umami, and it’s easily the dish that makes the meal feel worthwhile. If you go, treat that as your must‑order and plan around it; everything else plays more of a supporting role. I also enjoyed the black cod and the shaved ice dessert. I would skip the burger.
Good for a date or casual dinner, but keep an eye on the check and shareable plates.

Not bad! It does feel a little overpriced.
Steak Frites and Pork Chop were my favorites.

What’s not to love? A perfect dinner caddy corner to Precita Park, brought to you by Chef Greg. This neighborhood is fortunate to have both Precita Social & Third Cousin flanking the North and South of Bernal Hill. Come, enjoy, leave happy, return & repeat.

We had a nice dinner here with long-time friends. It was a good vibe and ambiance. Unfortunately, while we had been excited by nearly everything on the menu, the food was a mixed bag. It generally felt over-seasoned / over-salted, and all of us felt like the oysters were a bit hit and miss. It was still a fun night, but did not quite live up to expectations.

Visited this place last night. The food was really good, the ambiance, the service - everything was top notch. There are a few new places around in town, and when you get there the food is presented well, but the taste underwhelms. Precital social isn’t like that. The food is presented wonderfully and tastes delicious!

The food was good, though not worth the hype. The restaurant itself is quaintband comfortable, and the staff are all quite pleasant and professional. The pace is unrushed, which is nice unless you are waiting for your table.
