Queens Louisana Poboy Cafe Reviews
Friendly staff and owners. Food was great. Enjoyed the gumbo.
Stopped in here after our Alcatraz tour and WOW, their shrimp poboy was one of the best we've had (outside of New Orleans). Service was fast. Restaurant was open air and clean. Nice restroom also. Pleasant surprise!
Never ate here before. It is mostly all sea food. The fish & chips were good. You order and pay at the cash and they give you a stick with a # on it and bring the food to you. Service was very good. I don’t like when the POS system asks me to tip before I even have my food. This is very close to the Alcatraz Tour arrival/departure.
Queens Louisiana Poboy Cafe offers a varied dining experience. The fresh food is tasty, though the prices may not always match the online menu, leading to unexpected expenses. The Oyster Poboy is pricey but lacks flavor, while the Beignets are doughy. The convenient location can be noisy, and the cleanliness of the restroom is a concern. Despite the delicious half and half Po Boy, the overall dining experience may not meet all customers' expectations, especially with the additional costs and travel time for some. The restaurant is popular with both locals and tourists, often buzzing with activity. Customers have praised the excellent Clam Chowder, served in a bread bowl, and the friendly service. The open-air setting provides a nice breeze, though it can be windy, which some diners may not enjoy.
