Poor attitude
Went for brunch and the food was phenomenal! Also, we explored the building and it was definitely a beautifully done place to see
The food is amazing. The building is incredible. Probably the nicest restaurant in sf.
be warned it is very clean eating, when you order salmon you get salmon with salt and lemon. They don't try to show off with a bunch of toppings/dressings and I think that either resonates with people or they feel like they are getting ripped off
Card problems for payment avoid the place
I came here with expectations of decent food and friendly service
Unfortunately, the rotisserie chicken was dry and flavorless. The Costco $5 chicken has more flavor and juice than the one I had.
The steak Frits was served with fries that resembled McDonald’s fries in texture and taste.
The waitress was super friendly and polite. However, the staff that managed the upstairs showroom was very rude and dismissive despite my calm and friendly demeanor.
Incredible gem in San Francisco. Really elevates your date with its chic sophistication, classic architecture, high-class dishes and drinks, and a rooftop terrace to cap off the experience. Highly recommended!
One of my fav hidden gem
The food is very good had the ahrimp Cocktail, avocado and whole branzino great for a special occasion also.
Despite having a reservation, we still waited nearly 45 minutes to be seated. Once seated, though the service was good the food was good as well not great.
First time at this restaurant- we have been to RH Rooftop Marin before. We had a reservation for 2 people and showed up a few min early. The hostess who helped us (there were 2 other hosts walking back and forth) was neutral, not warm or friendly. She asked us to wait in the waiting area for our table (empty except for a couple having drinks there from the bar). We waited for about 10 min, and noticed a party of 2 walked up and were seated right away. When another party of 2 did the same, my husband went up to ask how long our wait would be, and she said she could seat us. She brought us to a table immediately behind the hostess podium (which had been empty since we got there). I asked if there was another table available (I wanted to feel more like I was inside the restaurant) and her body language clearly showed that she was annoyed- shoulders slumped, sighed - and she brought us to another table. The restaurant was much louder than I expected, which made it seem less elegant than the photos showed when I booked. Our waiter was professional and nice, and we appreciated that. The food was mostly excellent- especially the Hamachi caviar carpaccio- amazing! My husband's Chilean sea bass was overcooked and rubbery. The Delice de Bourgogne board was fantastic (we've had this in the Marin restaurant). I don't know that I would come here again for a special dinner- I might come just for a casual meal. I did feel overdressed, as I tried following the dress code, but saw people in tennis shoes and athleisure clothes. There were a few people dressed up (large table for a birthday, etc) but if we go there again, I will definitely dress down. Overall, the food and service at our table were great, but the ambiance and service at the host stand were not. I really wanted to love this restaurant, but in my experience it did not live up to the beautiful photos online.

The restaurant met our expectations. Good food, good service, good vibes. It was a perfect date night.
Amazing ambience, perfect for romantic lunch/dinner and important events. Food was of high quality, although the choice is limited and quality of food can be better. Service is fantastic!
I hadn't been to the Palm Court since its earlier opening days and always was impressed by the beauty and splendor of the restaurant, but the menu was limited and somewhat unmemorable. Fast forward to a new and much larger and inspired menu, and this is now one of the best special occasion restaurants in the city (because to be clear, it is pricey). Everything was delicious - enjoyed the hamachi and chips with dip and caviar, wagyu ribeye steak sandwich, french fries and warm chocolate chip cookies to close it out. Cocktails were also tasty (but again, pricey). I look forward to returning and continuing to explore all the menu has to offer! Separately, I would like to thank the very gracious hostess who kindly accommodated our late reservation arrival (I called ahead), that really put me in a brighter mood to start the experience!
The space is the star here and probably over promises. In some ways the restaurant is just facade. We went here after not having been for over a year. The restaurant is truly lovely. But the greeting, front of house needs work if they want to match the space. They are fine with greeting you and checking on your table but after that they don't seem to know what to do with you. Although there are drink menus in seats when waiting for your table they don't have anyone to actually take an order. It gives you an odd feeling of it just being for show. The food has improved since last time and we had excellent Branzino and veal. The table service spot on. The wine list has good variety and prices and the banana split dessert is perfect. Maybe the front of house team should visit a few Michelin star restaurants to see how they create a mood from when you arrive. I will say there are an abundance of trust fund kids snapping photos for Instagram so maybe that's exactly what they want.
The food and service was amazing and the space was beautiful. I tried caviar for the first time and the dip and chips were delicious.
