Call in if you’re getting food during rush hour! We ordered in person and it took 45 min, but at least it was worth it! BBNG was fantastic with a perfect balance of savory and acidity. Hemingway is okay, but I wouldn’t try it again.

we waited less than 10 minutes for 2 sandwiches and there were 5 customers ahead of us. timely service and friendly atmosphere. a little bit on the pricier side but so worth it. highly recommend walking to Delores park for a picnic afterwards!!

the bryant st. sandwich is really good. i can’t wait to come back and try the others! it was hard choosing just one. the staff are very friendly and the store has a great selection of drinks and snacks to go with your deli sandwich.

veggie Korean marinated “steak” sandwich is THE ONE
TLDR: great sandwich though a bit pricey and eating/waiting inside is like waiting in a stove
We ordered the freak 55 named after Tim lincecum and the sandwich was great! Healthy amount of pastrami, great spice with the kimchi and peppercinis, nice pickled onions to round out the flavor and the sauce was flavorful. We ate inside but I immediately had to go outside after because it was so stuffy. And the sandwich after a small tip came out to $20 which is a bit pricey for a sandwich without avocado

Solid sandwiches with a ton of variety. They aren't remarkable in quality, quantity, or flavor. But the wide selection will be great for groups or if you're within a few blocks.
Parking: Typical crowded Mission parking, so you'll have to circle 3+ blocks, and don't even bother if you have a large car or SUV.
Wheelchair accessibility: There's no indoor seating but the aisles are well spaced. I don't recall there being a powered front door.

Grabbed the Barney Rubble sandwich and had it at Dolores Park like most people suggested.
Sandwich was delicious with all the right ingredients mixing well. Plenty of avocado, just enough sauce and cheese. Bread was crunchy but soft inside.

I've been coming here for years and the sandwiches are usually very good, so it pains me to write this but I've noticed some slippage in the service. I think overall they are quite understaffed which is leading to some problems.First of all, the waiting times have gotten longer and longer—not a ding in and of itself, truly a testament to the fact that the sandwiches are great! But it is a noticeable and increasing problem.More importantly, I've noticed that they increasingly ignore or forget about my requests for substitutions. Today, I asked for a sandwich with Dutch Crunch bread to substitute for their normal Acme Roll. Usually not a big deal. But when I got the sandwich, they hadn't made the substitution. When I was speaking to the crew about this, I saw fresh Dutch Crunch rolls behind the counter and asked about them. They said they were reserved for a "large order". I have no idea what that really means, but it does make me feel a bit like a second-class customer to see that. Not to mention they didn't tell me they were "out" of Dutch Crunch when I ordered, so I could have chosen another type of bread or canceled the order at the outset—they just made the default sandwich and assumed I would be alright with it.Again, this is not to knock the food. But I do wish they could improve the attentiveness of the service.
