We went there enjoying date night. We enjoyed every part of the restaurant service and food was wonderful

I had a very disappointing experience. I took a party of seven people to dinner and the service could not have been much worse. The food was excellent, but it took forever to receive any service. There was a language barrier and they missed out on at least a bottle or two of wine and dessert because it took so long for them to pay attention to us. I may not be back.

Always a good experience! Food and service are fantastic! Staff is always good about accommodating individual needs.

The sushi wasn't that great. Quite salty and not so tasty. The ribs were pretty good but nothing special. Staff was kind and attentive. Cool vibe downstairs but overall just ok

We enjoyed every moment of our dinner and conversation, paired with truly delicious food. The staff were warm and friendly, and even the bathroom was clean and well maintained. We will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to our family and friends.

This is our second dining experience at Roka. Both occasions was for a date night. Both times sat by the kitchen. We ordered the omakase with sake + wine paring during our first experience and then the New Year's Pre-Fixe with sake + wine paring for our second. Both times did not dissapoint and everything was wonderful. The service was on point - timing, attentiveness, and quick information about what was prepared for us elevated the moment. The food was amazing. Sushi was fresh, wagyu perfectly seasoned and cooked, that lemon butter on that lobster was something else, presentation was breathtaking, and the taste and pairings were on point. Each bite had us smiling and/or bobbing our heads with delight. Thank you for such a treat, Roka!

This is a favorite of our family - we first ate at the Chicago location and loved it. The San Francisco location was even better. We loved the sushi, the drinks, and everything about it.

This is not a place to take large parties. The food is prepared poorly with little regard to who's eating it.

They forgot our main courses. Several times a waiter asked us about what we wanted and we said we were waiting for our food. They felt badly and eventually the manager apologized, but with no explanation.

Roka has always been a delight when we dine. We first discovered it for a friend's birthday and since then the menu quality has improved over the last year or two. Maybe it was just the wrong dish that didn't suit me initially. Their nigiri is excellent and the O Toro is a MUST try. If you are looking for beef, I would recommend the Oliver's Buthchery Prime Dry Aged ribeye or truffle butter covered Australian wagyu ribeye. You can't go wrong either way but the Australian wagyu definitely was a homerun. I personally love the Yuzu Miso marinated black cod (I've ordered it the last 2 visits) and the portobello mushroom is heavenly. We brought our own bottle of bubbly and our servers were very kind and friendly. Can't wait to visit again soon!

Great food and very friendly service. This is our 2nd time at this restaurant, and we like it a lot better than the last time.
