Food was great. We loved all the food. Service was the worst I have had here. I expect more since I have been accustom to great service for years. Guy treated us like we were at a bad fast food restaurant. He took awhile to come over then we felt rushed and judged. Didn't follow up, attitude and uncomfortable. He had too large group tables. I wish we would have been in the section next to him. She clearly had time and was very attentive. We made the best of it because we love the restaurant and make it a stop for us. I tipped more than deserved to support the staff and chefs. You would think a $670 check (before tip) for 3 people would be interesting enough but nope. Super disappointed in the service. Too bad.

Well really enjoyed our dinner. The ahi tartar and salmon tataki were delicious, also the portobello mushroom. We will definitely go there again.. The service was great too. Because of the layout of the place, the atmosphere was not that inviting. Maybe some small lamps on tables would be nice touch. This way it would the lightening would be softer..

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Great service, great food, a great time! Lots of good suggestions from our waiter. Loved it and will be back!

Server was polite but didn't pay much attention to our needs, too busy? Dining room was like a one big hall...no ambience and too noisy. I could next table loud and clear, not pleasant to eat. The ambience doesn't rise up to the quality of food

Came for restaurant for the SF restaurant week. The entree of steak and lamb chop are really good.

Was in town for 24 hours and found this gem. Food was absolutely delicious! Went with tithe restaurant week menu; every item was prepared to perfection. Special shoutout for the two dishes we added, the scallops and steak tartare, just wow. To top of the night, was the best chocolate molten lave cake (super fresh and perfectly moist on the inside and crisp on the outside) and light and airy Japanese cheesecake.

We were in the city for a conference and choose to check this place out. So glad we did. The drinks were amazing, our large group didn't have to wait around too long for a table, the service was awesome. There was a small bit of confusion about splitting our table's bill but they got that sorted without too much fuss. The Blood Orange margarita was top notch. I had the salmon for dinner. Very delicious. We had such a fun time I forgot to take any pics.

I had an amazing experience at Roka Akor! The food was incredible and the atmosphere was perfect for a night out. Our server Oscar, went above and beyond; super attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. Definitely coming back!

I came here with my boyfriend to celebrate getting a new job, but also to join in on SF Restaurant Week. The $90 menu was well worth the price, we enjoyed essentially all the dishes and were satiated upon leaving. The two cocktails we ordered, the Murasaki Sour and Sword & Samurai, were made in a timely fashion and were delicious! The only item we weren't as impressed with was the dessert offered as part of the $90 menu, a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream, as the chocolate within the cake was very oily, so the texture and taste were a bit off. However, we both looked past it as we were kindly given glasses of champagne and another dessert, mango pudding with tapioca and ruby grapefruit that was really fresh and yummy. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable, and we never felt we had to wait long for the next course. All around great service and would be happy to return.

We had a party of 7 of us and were celebrating a friend's birthday on Halloween. We got seated at an amazing designed table. The decor for the space is pleasantly inviting. Our server was very knowledgeable with the list of drinks. We chose the omakase tasting menu to make it easier for us to share. The courses were feasts for the eyes and tremendously tasty. The portions were very generous. We brought a cake thinking the dessert would be small, and their bountiful treats filled us that by the time our server brought our birthday cake for our friend, we were barely able to devour our cake. Not only that, when they brought the cake out, the servers got the entire restaurant to sing happy birthday along with us. Thank you Roka Akor SF for our wonderful experience

My husband and I had a terrific meal last night. We had omakase and we glad we did. All the dishes were so good. Now that we tried variety of food, we know what to get next time.

Every single dish was a stunner. Our server Eric was wonderful. The main dining room is quite loud and perhaps this was because they were conference attendees letting loose with colleagues. So for that reason, I would choose to have the downstairs bar seating next time. And then will be a next time. What a wonderful evening

Extremely noisy. Great if you are non-verbal. Or your dinner companion is your phone. Everything else, exceptional.

First time dining at Roka Akor and my husband and I loved the entire experience. Food was amazing, staff were attentive, and the restaurant vibes were lovely. Definitely coming back to try more dishes!

I've dined at Roka Akor since 2016 and I've noticed over the past 3 years that food is not as tasty. I'm not sure if it's due to a change in chef or cooking staff. There was a time that I utterly enjoyed every item on the menu and the food was an experience. That seems to no longer be. A few menu items were also removed such as; the chilean sea bass. I sat in the lounge this time around because on Friday's there was typically a DJ and it was usualy packed with customers but, this was not the case. I would suggest that PR for Roka Akor invest in making it the one popular restaurant it was prior to the pandemic.
