Roli Roti is probably the most famous stand at the San Francisco Ferry Building Farmers Market. Their rotisserie porchetta is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and pairs perfectly with the arugula.
I’d always been curious because of the long line — and it was absolutely worth the wait. Surprisingly, the staff were very friendly and served everything quickly. Note that it’s a cashless stand, so card payment only!

Got their whole chicken at Farmer’s Market on California avenue on Sunday Oct 12. The chicken was NOT cooked through 😖 The breast meat was pinkish and hard to chew. And costs x3 of the Costco rotisserie chicken.

Be advised: the line is not long because the food is good.

We hustled to get there before closing and got the last two porchetta sandwiches, new potatoes, and brussels. Amazing. Food was great and the staff was super cool and proud of the product.

Third time I’ve made a point to travel to the city for a Roti sandwich, after spending $18 plus a sandwich we found ourselves eating mouthfuls of FAT…
Have been going here for years…. Crispy skin is the best!

This has been a spot we’ve also been wanting to check out since seeing it featured on a couple food shows.
We went on Saturday morning and got in line at 10ish. Got to order at 1030. Chicken and Ribs weren’t ready, but that was fine as we wanted the Porchetta sandwich’s.
Anyway, the pork is absolutely delicious. It’s so tender and also has some nice crispy bits. Definitely the highlight. Also, the bread was super fresh. The onion jam was really good too.
The arugula? Half of it was yellow 🤮. It was super wilted from the heat as well. Definitely something that needs to be eaten right away.
Also it needed something acidic. Some pickled onions and something spicy would go a long way.
Nonetheless, we’re glad to have tried it. But for $15, I was expecting some more robust flavors. Next time we’d like to try the chicken, ribs and potatoes.

Right up there with the one of the most over-rated sandwiches ever. Flavorless and seriously lacking any seasoning at all. Would do well with a sage mayo or aioli or something...literally anything to enhance. The potatoes were solid, but the sandwich was highly average. A plethora of other choices around...
Delish food cart with some of my favorite porchetta anywhere

Well made sandwich at a great price. They don't skimp out on the meat. Pork was juicy and there was a good balance of lean parts, fatty parts and crispy portions. Caramelized onions were amazing, but a bit overpowering.
Line is typically long, but moves very quickly. Only waited around 10 minutes on a Saturday at noon.
Great stuff. Well worth a try!

The 30+ minute wait was 💯 worth it! The Porchette Sandwich was worth every penny! My husband knows how much I love pork and he nailed it when ordering me this heavenly dish. The arugula and onion marmalade put it over the top. The crispy pork pieces were perfection. I wish I could attach the picture here. Don’t skip this when in the area.

They did not in fact serve chicken sandwiches.
Best sandwich!
I’m sorry but this was all hype. Sandwiches had no flavor, super bland. Not worth the time it took to get the food or price.
Place use to be much better. Sandwich is somehow lacking flavor and the potatoes are old and dried out.
