Wow, owner Matt and his Italian Chef know how to cook and serve delicious Italian food! No pizza, only the best. My Swordfish Carpaccio was the best ever! The atmosphere in this small, informal restaurant is amazing, and Matt is so nice and friendly. When he sits down with us, and tells about his life in the food and restaurant business, we listen eagerly. It’s like being with good friends around the table. If you want to avoid the tourist paths, and enjoy a heavenly meal, just find this restaurant! ?
Went here for an anniversary, and the owner Matt and chef made the experience so special. The food is fantastic ???Amazing Italian classical dishes in addition to incorporating local ingredients and new ideas. The wines are great ?we tried two of the reds from the list of imported Italian wines and they were both TO DIE FOR! I would definitely recommend this for your next special occasion!
Smoked duck lasagna is delicious. Matt is friendly and helpful. Will visit again soon.
What an experience! The best boar you'll ever have. Perfect al dente pasta. And service and attention out of this world! Definitely my go to place for Italian in San Francisco!!
Fish: Exactly the doneness I want. Carefully seasoned.Tiramisu: not the standard one you would expect. Precise sweetness. (Not American style, which is too sweet!)Owner: really nice. I will come again.
Matt and his team are world class professionals. Great food and warm service. Robert
Outstanding food. Outstanding service. Lovely atmosphere. I will be going back next time I am in the city. Honestly I think I'll make an extra excuse to get back just to eat here again.
Friendly service and wonderful food, would definitely come back!
Adorable place Adorable owner/host great food what more can you ask for ?Roma's is worth a visit. I'm visiting SF from New York and Roma's was on my must visit list. My pics don't do justice.?.
Unfortunately, we had a pretty negative experience today in Roma's restaurant.Let me start from something good: Matthew is an owner and he served us, he was nice and polite. Restaurant has a local/home style, there is really cozy atmosphere. Now, negative part, a few words about food: it's ok, not good, not bad. I personally expected more delicious food. The worst part is our check, we were charged for a wine bottle (!) when it was only a glass. So, please, be careful and double check your checks, there can be surprises!

Great service and dining atmosphere. Came here a couple weeks ago with my partner and we had a wonderful dinner! We had the wild boar and ragu pastas. Both were very good and super unique. It seems they change the menu every so often, so I'm very excited to come back soon!
Great pasta . I got it to go. The place had a nice atmosphere. With great food and nice folks they will do well throughout The Pandemic.
Amazing italian food!! By far the best I have ever had. Nice place with good atmosphere. Good diverse wine list as well. Matt the owner is very nice and willing to please. Definitely check it out if you want good authentic italian food.
Truly horrible food every time I’ve eaten here which has been three times now. They have a nice outdoor dining area with good service and they are open all day which is really nice so this place has some good elements to it. The problem is the food is absolutely terrible or at least the pasta with the tomato sauce is. Nobody who lives in the marina actually goes to this place because they know the food is bad. It is too bad because they do a lot of things well here in terms of atmosphere, etc..
I have never written a review before but dinner at Roma’s inspired me to write my first. From the moment we were greeted by Matt until our last bite the experience was fantastic. The food is absolutely scrumptious and I just wanted more. Truly authentic Italian cuisine. I encourage everyone to come check out Roma’s. I’ll be back many times.
