This was a great restaurant in Stonestown until they discontinued serving all thighs, which made me to stop going.
Came here with a group of friends before watching a movie together.
Good:
- The portion sizes are good and the price isn't too bad
- The food here feels very healthy, I got the original bowl with no modifications
- The service is decently fast as well
Bad:
- It doesn't have much seating so we had to leave to go sit somewhere
- I don't like how bland the chicken and rice gets after having more than half of it
Overall this was an average location for what I've tried, I've had better Rooster and Rices in the past.

There are many locations around the bay area. This one is near the entrance of the mall. This location is small and maybe 6 seats inside. Or you can take it to-go and sit at the food court (2nd level). The store is considered clean.
Foods: average and consistent taste across most of these stores. I personally like ginger and scallion sauce. The price per meal is under $20 and come with small cup of soup.
When order, you can pick white meat or dark meat (additional charge) with rice or salad.

They tried to charge me $2 tax on a $10 order. That's 20%. I wonder if that's even legal.

Simple food but tasty. Great service and the kind and friendly staff make it a nice place to get chicken and rice!

Rooster & Rice was always a place where I go when I needed a quick and healthy meal. Their white rice with chicken is extremely good and always hit the spot. The prices are quite high but comparing to some places in stone town it's on the more affordable side.

Your average chicken rice. We ordered The Original. They nailed the rice and soup. The rice was fragrant, the good ol’ scent of chicken rice. Soup was good. The chicken tasted good with the sauce. Otherwise, it would be quite bland.
We ordered takeout because the place was small. Only 2 tables and they were all occupied.

Small portion and dry meat, too expensive for a few pieces of chicken, not a propee hainanese chicken

Great price, 13 dollars for chicken over rice with a soup on the side and a sauce. Although their ginger scallion sauce isn't as savory as most places, I'd happily come again for their fast service and streamlined menu. Good place if you are on a time crunch. Not sure how but there's also an option for extra skin too!

The Chicken rice is good, but the portion is too small for its price. The drinks are horrible they taste like they mixed a lot of water with the juice.

I'm late to Rooster and Rice! Personally, I prefer bone in...but I have to say, the broth made up for this! The broth is deceptively flavorful. The ginger scallion sauce is ok, but try their house sauce! The cucumber salad was a nice pairing! Will definitely visit again.
