Small portion and dry meat, too expensive for a few pieces of chicken, not a propee hainanese chicken

Great price, 13 dollars for chicken over rice with a soup on the side and a sauce. Although their ginger scallion sauce isn't as savory as most places, I'd happily come again for their fast service and streamlined menu. Good place if you are on a time crunch. Not sure how but there's also an option for extra skin too!

The Chicken rice is good, but the portion is too small for its price. The drinks are horrible they taste like they mixed a lot of water with the juice.

I previously tried this chained chicken rice eatery at another location and don't remember it being an outstanding experience, and trying this eatery here today at the Stonestown location reconfirmed my rating of this eatery's chicken rice does not meet my expectations. The chicken is dry and tasteless, while the rice does not have any fragrance nor taste. There should have been 1/2 dark meat and 1/2 white meat, but mine had about 1/3 dark meat which I prefer and 2/3 white meat. If you had tasted the best chicken rice in Singapore, this would be a big disappointment.

I'm late to Rooster and Rice! Personally, I prefer bone in...but I have to say, the broth made up for this! The broth is deceptively flavorful. The ginger scallion sauce is ok, but try their house sauce! The cucumber salad was a nice pairing! Will definitely visit again.

Staff said it'd be a 10-15 minute wait. 30 minutes later, nothing. I asked for a refund, and they were able to issue it *without the tip back*. The staff person remarked, "Well, you could have waited for your order." So I just paid for terrible service? I'll be calling my bank to get the remainder back. Update: 2 days later I was able to go through my bank to get a full refund. A representative of the business eventually reached out to offer apologies, a certificate and that they were looking into the situation. I felt I was able to convey my grievances about the situation to them properly. I'm glad that they've reached out and provided a resolution, but it's still unknown if the feedback will lead to revised employee practices around how they should handle beyond-longer-than-stated-wait-times and partial refunds.

Great place to grab a quick lunch. Their standard chicken and rice with the special sauce is my go-to.

It's just something Caribbean people don't like and one of them is no white chicken lol. I really expected this to taste like just boiled chicken and it tasted nothing like that. The chicken had flavor It was moist tender I didn't say it was seasoned but it was far from bland. I ordered the riceless and my broccoli was blanched just like I love it. They gave me a bowl of chicken broth when I saw it in my bag I said hell no but after I tasted one sip I said hell yeah. omg that's some good broth.

This location is much smaller than other ones in the bay area but the food is consistent quality as others. There are only two tables inside but you can also go upstairs for more seating.

They know how to make chicken rice. I always get the original, it’s consistently fresh and tasty.

Rooster & Rice is a go-to for a healthy meal. Really tasty chicken and the rice full of chicken flavor is so special. We've had it more than 5+ times now and food's been consistently good. It is also a more peaceful experience than the crowded tables at the food court upstairs or waiting in long lines at other asian restaurants. Service is always nice.

I like how nice and bright this little location is. They have built in garbage cans which is super chic. The menu is so simple and not overwhelming at all. They have a little iPad in front where you can order unless your paying cash then it prompts you to order with cashier. The cashier working is very nice and soft spoken. She recommended the canned Thai coffee, I'm excited to try since I've never seen this brand before. I received my food in less than 10 minutes. It smells so delicious. I ordered the Kai ka moo (braised pork leg, I had to Google it) will do another update once I chow down!

Good clean chicken. I usually go for the dark and white meat mix. $20 is the going rate for a work lunch.
