Service was good (not great), and our server was very friendly. I have zero complaints. The food, though, was almost universally... not hot. Flavors were good, maybe even great, but seemed like they either needed a few more minutes of heating or should have been fried at a slightly higher temperature. Another thing that was weird was the kitchen was oddly loud. Like the chef in there was making it a point to make sure people knew activity was going on in there.

The BEST ramen we’ve had!! Broth was perfectly seasoned and all Ingredients tasted fresh. Salad and appetizers were also very delicious. Waiter was friendly and attentive. Lunch special was a great deal.

Cute spot with decent prices for SF.
Would come again since I live so close
Friendly service
The ramen was really subpar. The server was nice but the food was just incredibly lacking. The ramen felt like it was thrown together with no thought, the egg was cold, and it was very bland. Would not recommend when Hinodeya is right down the road.

ramen was decent. the music was a little thumpy and didn’t match the vibe.
I got the lunch set with an appetizer of chicken karake, a salad, and a bowl of spicy miso ramen. I really enjoyed the salad and chicken karake with my strawberry sweet sake. The ramen soup was a bit too thick and strong for my liking and the pork belly is slightly tough. I love the chill and comfortable feeling in the restaurant.

Located right off the Chinatown stop on the Powell line, Rural Ramen is an excellent resturant. Great food and service makes your visit worth it.

The food was deep fried in a ton of oil. Not for anyone who is remotely health conscious!
