We have always been big fans of filling bowls and clean ingredients. We were huge chipotle and cava fan, but haven’t really been going lately. Sajj was so refreshing! The falafels were tasty and really well made. Really crispy on the outside, soft and well cooked on the inside. The toppings were all fresh and well portioned. The best part was the sauces. All flavorful, clean and optional. The lentil soup was also tasty and refreshing. Highly highly recommend!

Amazingly fresh and tasty food! Order at the counter, starting at the left and working your way to the right as you tell the person making your meal what you want and how you want it. As for me, I went with the chicken shawarma and falafel combo with rice, greens and loads of toppings— beet, pickles, cauliflower, olives, tomato and cucumber, hummus, tzatziki etc topped with delicious sauce. It’s a lot of food, and I enjoyed every bite. I loved the pickled vegetables, and I hope they keep that going. I ordered the fried and wasn’t super excited about them; wish they were more fresh. You bring your food to the table on a tray and they deliver the fries. Seems they source a lot of products from local farmers which is great. The space is clean, the tables and seats nothing fancy, and I went 40 min before closing and the door was open with a lot of cold air coming inside. I’ll be back for the food and if I’m not with a friend or my girlfriend I’ll probably take the food to go and sit in the park.

Good Mediterranean food like falafel and salad bowl very testy veg and non veg option available
solid food with generous portions. that said, giving them two stars due to poor customer service. for example, I purchased a $25 dollar bowl and they upcharged me for an extra plate so that I could share with my 2 y/o daughter.

The food is here is so expensive given the quality and taste. I gave the second star because they offer free lentil soup which is hard to find in SF these days

Cafeteria-style service and food quality. Food does not have great freshness and there is a lot of conflicting flavors and spices in the ingredients. To maximize tastiness, opt for fewer ingredients, and grab some of the green or red schug from the utensil station.

Not Mediterranean, not shawarma. With a name like sajj I gave it a try. Meat was essentially dry shredded chicken with weak flavor. Bread is just a tortilla, sauces have no heat. And despite toasting it, the wrap was 90% cold when I ate it 5 minutes later.
To add to that, employees act and look like they are annoyed (especially if you dont know what you want exactly,) hate their job, and to be fair, if I would too if I had to serve this food.
Save your money and go somewhere that's not gentrified. Would give 0 stars if I could. 17 dollars for a cold single wrap with added onion is highway robbery.

very good
Very delicious food, very friendly and professional owner.
Thank you,?
I'm removing a star because certain employees serve the falafel pita with only three pieces rather than the usual four, which seems stingy and is unsatisfying.
SAJJ stands out as an excellent option for authentic Mediterranean fare. The servings are generous, and the prices are fair, particularly in light of the price increases at other venues. The inclusion of lentil soup with every order is a pleasant surprise, solidifying this as my favourite lunch spot.

Delicious and more than I could put away in one sitting. Although I did try. Love the concept. And will be back regularly.
