Slow. Overpriced. Burnt slice. Marinara is too sweet. Dough is fine. I’ll try any pizza once. I’ll never try this one again.

Looks like they are skimping on the cheese.
Not as good as it used to be when they opened.
The pizza has way less cheese now, the sides barely have any melted crusty cheese.

$14 for a slice is insane

My friend and I had gone to a different restaurant and crossed this pizza place. I caught the whiff of this amazing smelling pizza and immediately checked the name of the place and the display in the window. The rectangular thick crust (later found out that it was focaccia crust) with beautiful and delicious looking toppings - right away, it was decided that I will grab some on the way back and take it home.

The place has more than 1 vegetarian option which is a big win for all the vegetarians out there. You can order through a digital kiosk. I tried the ‘eat your veggies’ and ‘green goddess’ pizza. Both were very interesting and unique with their toppings and taste. I want to try their ‘sweet heat pineapple’ but without the pepperoncini. I also tried the garlic knots but wasn’t that impressed by them. But will definitely recommend to go here and have it fresh. I intend to do that next.

Pizza is okay, but very expensive. It’s essentially focaccia with toppings. you will pay $9 for one slice all told, partially because they charge you a 5% fee for employee benefits rather than paying their employees a fair wage.

This place used to be good but that was some of the worst pizza I have had in a long time. $12.50 for 2 small slices of cheese. Super sloppy on top, not crispy at all, and the dough was bad. Won’t be coming back here

Sad-slide pizza? This was the opposite of a “Joyride”. I don’t remember pizza being this bad in my life. The dough tasted like it took a two-day vacation before hitting the oven, and a simple cheese slice is $12.25—yes, twelve dollars and twenty-five cents. The potential issues: Detroit-style pizza dough should have a light, airy texture with visible holes or an open crumb structure, a result of proper yeast fermentation and hydration. This dough looks dense and lacks the characteristic airiness, possibly indicating:Insufficient proofing time (the dough didn’t rise properly),Overworked or under-hydrated dough, Dough that was made too far in advance. It was terrible!

For that price, I was expecting at least a heartfelt apology. Do yourself a favor and head to Tony Gemignani’s, where the slices are $7–$8, and they actually taste like pizza, not cardboard dreams.

Pizza joint within the mission district area with quick-pick up options for square, thick crusted pizza. Although the appearance itself was very appetizing, the texture of the bread was pretty dry and did not feel high quality. The toppings were slightly excessive and drowned out the integral pizza ingredients including the cheese and sauce. The price did not equate to the quality or quantity of the pizza and the staff did not understand I had just wanted one of each pizza type, so they ended up charging me more than I had wanted. The environment is more accustomed for take out. No gluten free options.

Some of the flavors were too salty, prefer other Detroit style pizza spots in general.
