Excellent birthday cake š
Iām not sure I need to review this place. The number of 5-stars speaks for itself. I just want to give a shoutout to the consistency of the hundreds of Strawberry Shortcake, Princess, and Neapolitan slices Iāve gotten in the 10 years Iāve been coming here. Decently affordable for the quality you are getting. And Thanks for the numerous holidays saves; I canāt count how many times the pumpkin pie was cleaned up at holiday potlucks. Worth every penny.

Avoid this place like the plague, but only if youāre seriously trying to lose weight. Otherwise, walk right in and accept your fate. There is absolutely no way you can step into Schubertās Bakery and not feel tempted by at least one (and probably several) of their beautiful, perfectly made pastries. Everything behind the glass looks inviting, and the best part is that their desserts arenāt overloaded with sugar. You can actually taste the delicate flavors, the butter, the chocolate, and the care that goes into each item.
Schubertās has been a Richmond District institution for decades, and they continue to do what they do best: classic European-style cakes, tortes, and pastries made with consistency and restraint. I wonāt recommend a specific item because that would be unfair to everything else in the case. Pick anything to start with, enjoy it, and then come back another day to try something different. Just maybe donāt visit too oftenābecause when you eventually step on the scale and see the results, you might find yourself coming back here to leave me a few choice words. Consider yourself warned.

I usually come here for their princess cake. It is so tasty and the inside is moist. I also tried a lot of their other cakes and baked goods. This is my fav bakery and I always go here if I need to get a birthday cake.

I enjoy their delicate flavors and attention to detail. Ordering a cake was a breeze and every part of it was delicious! Yes, including the macarons and white chocolate signage. They make the best princess cake in the area. I had their mango cake as well, but I prefer it contrasted with the saltiness of a touch of cream cheese. Lovely local spot!

You like mousse cake? If you are in the Bay Area, Schubert's is it. Don't google for more. Don't look on Yelp. Schubert's mousse cake may cost a few dollar signs more, but there are no alternatives. You have been advised. Waste your own money if you want to. Or save them to spend on the best mousse cake money can by in the Bay Area!

This review is for the princess cake only: itās absolutely pathetic. They use fake cool whip or equivalent and not whipped cream, the sponge cake is tasteless, kirsch nowhere to be found, and the marzipan is not made in house. Not sure what the positive reviews are about but clearly people are either lying or ignorant. Go to Tartine instead and have a real treat.
I ordered the strawberry shortcake for my daughters 2nd birthday and was delighted to pick up this beautifully decorated cake. She was so excited when we presented her cake and she loved the bee, lady bug, and butterfly decorations, which were an extra special touch added by the bakery! The cake was delicious with a soft cake, fresh strawberries, and a subtly sweet whipped cream. Thank you Schubert's for helping make my daughters birthday special!

Quick service, great selection of cake slices, biscuits, pies and whole cakes at this time testing bakery. Come here for old-world European cakes including the fuerst pueckler, Swedish princess cake.
We got the Mocha Torte, which was so light and fluffy. Cream filling was not too sweet - perfectly balanced with the coffee flavor.
