We had a lovely happy hour experience at Scopo Divino. The owner Tim was behind the bar and very lovely to chat with the bar made. Yoko was also a real pleasure to converse with. We had the oysters which were perfection. We also have the fish tacos and the meatballs. All three of these dishes were outstanding as was the wine. We highly recommend this fabulous wine bar, and eatery to all.

Before Scopo Divino, I had never been to a bottomless brunch place. I was pleasantly surprised by this one, so let’s get into the review.

My favorite things:
These people can cook. When I order a salad and it’s one of the most delicious things that comes out? I have high hopes for the rest of the meal and SDV did not disappoint. We got perfectly fried beignets (fluffy on the inside with a nice chew to them) served with caramel and chocolate (get this if you like beignets), fluffy waffles and a flavorful breakfast plate with eggs bacon and sausages.

As long as you can finish what you eat and drink, your bill (as at Mar 2025) comes out to $55 pp.

My least favorite thing:
Service was a bit slow but I’m not going to dock too many points for this as this was my first visit and I may have been catching them on an off day.

I would go back in a heartbeat!

My chicken was so small. About 3x4x0.5 inches and just one piece. I feel like they downgraded their food. Seems like the photos people posted before look different from what we were served. Maybe we were just served less than usual? Taste was good, more like comfort food. Waffles tasted normal. I ordered the chicken and waffles.

The vibes of this place are really cute, I had been looking forward to it. They often have live music, and the place itself is really nice, it has a French cafe vibe with couches and smaller tables. They have cool decor, with lots of wine bottles - however, the wine bottle ceiling lamps looked incredibly dusty, and the wine bottles were too. The food itself was alright, nothing too exciting: the veggie pasta was a bit bland, the chicken Milanese was a bit stringy (only one of the two pieces, the other was fine), the bread was a bit burnt. The chocolate torte was really good though

Was they for Restaurant week, happy hours oysters were delicious but you have to order a drink. Restaurant week dinner courses food was mediocre - most dishes are a bit blend or the flavors combinations didn't work well. Even Tiramisu was the best but still too sweet lacking depth in the flavor.

Went to the Saturday brunch. Reservations recommended. I went with someone for their birthday and we got to try more food @ full menu and unlimited mimosas for 90 minutes. The fish was good, fried chicken under seasoned, waffles fluffy and I really enjoyed the French toast bites (pictured). The grits ala carte were the same as the ones they served with the shrimp and grits. I highly recommend telling them to hold off on the sauce because they put too much. Skimpy fruit bowl and only one thigh with the chicken and waffles.
Probably won’t go again but I’m glad I tried it at least once. The staff were friendly and helpful.

My Wife and I dined here this evening. We were excited to have dinner with live jazz. Upon entering, we were greeted with lackluster customer service. The table We sat at was comfortable and We listened to Renner and his band play a song or two. We caught the end of the set, but we’re happy that we did get to hear what We could. The band filled the room quite nicely and were very entertaining and put us at ease. The food was great. My Wife had the ribeye steak with whipped feta and bacon topped with a chimichurri sauce served with fingerling potatoes and I enjoyed the chicken Parmesan served over al dente pasta, I loved the sauce.

The one thing that was disappointing was the service. The gentleman that waited on us was not welcoming. It didn’t seem to be the level of service expected in such a nice establishment. But, maybe he was having a bad day. It is also very stressful these days just being a human.

It’s a disappointment for me to write this review but I was very bothered from our last visit to Scopo Divino. We pre-paid for the Valentine’s Day dinner, which was $60 per person and we were required to leave gratuity amongst making the reservation (I have never had to leave a tip before I even get the service?). Our reservation was 8:30 PM and we arrived at 8:39 because of issues with our Uber driver. We called to let them know we would be running 10 minutes late. They were not kind on the phone. When we arrived, the host made it very clear we should be eating and leaving quickly by saying “you are the last table of the night” multiple times. Why take a 8:30 reservation if we will be rushed to leave? The set menu we pre-paid for were out of both the lobster risotto and beignets. Two items we were excited for and expected when we were required to pre pay for the entire meal. The website clearly listed that the kitchen is open until 9:30 which is fine, but the “After Hours” until 11 PM is incorrect as we were rushed out of the restaurant at 9:45. We asked the host if they are open until 11 PM as listed and he said “yeah, on a normal night”. Is a Friday not a normal night? The food and wine is excellent but the poor service and attitude is not worth it.

Scopo Divino is another neighborhood gem. The Beer Battered Fish Tacos were little marvels of deliciousness. The batter had just the right crunch and the combination with the other subtle flavors in the taco were amazing. The small jazz group that played were terrific. Scopo Divino is a fun place to hang out, eat and enjoy live music.

Burger was tasteless, looked soo good. So many amazing looking ingredients, and absolutely no flavor, despite the fact that I can see the sea salt. I was offended that this place doesn’t cut fresh fries. Why charge so much for frozen fries. What else here is frozen?
