Food was just ok. Nothing great or terrible about it. The table got two appetizers and three entrees.
Loved the salad, and the Spanish octopus was incredibly tender. The paella was absolutely delicious. The view of the Ferry Terminal and Embarcadero Plaza is a wonderful bonus. Highly recommend Sens for a weekend outing or a special celebration.
Great food, ambiance, and service - but the noise levels are far too loud. The restaurant was packed and all the tables were close together so hard to hear your own conversations
They charged a tip in my credit card without permission.
I understand you have a tipping culture in the US. And this was the first time I went to a restaurant in San Francisco, kinda lost on how things work here. They brought me a recipe without a pen and I asked the waiter if everything was right, he said it was, and I left the restaurant.
I did not sign for a tip. I could leave one, but you charged without my permission 20% of tip. Because of this bad behavior, I want you to withdraw it.
Thanks

Celebré mi boda en Sens y fue de las mejores decisiones. Buen ambiente, tiene una hermosa vista al Bay Bridge y la comida no decepciona.
What a great mashup of Mexican and Italian flavors. We went on a very busy night but the staff was still highly attentive and the food was amazing. Try the aranici appetizers or the fresh bruschetta. For dinner the birria lasagna was so good and unique. Will visit here next time I am in downtown SF.

5 stars for atmosphere and clearly a well-loved spot for after work crowd. Paella was not the worst I’ve had but I was surprised by the addition of broccoli and the omission of butter beans. Service was rushed, my plate was nearly taken as I was taking a bite and my beverage was removed before I was finished too. We had desserts and they were also okay. I would’ve loved an espresso but that’s not on the menu, FYI

Good food and so-so service. Pretty loud in the outside covered areas. The cod was good and the pork was also very good.

I've been dining at Sens since 2010. Worst meal I've had inn15 years there. Terrible salmon that seemed cooked the previous day on my salad. The worst by the glass Pinot Noir I've ever had in SF. Ambiance and service solid as always.
The ambiance and setting were absolutely beautiful! Our server, Jordan, was amazing and very knowledgeable. He helped us with deciding on what to order and his service was spot on. We had a corporate dinner here and would definitely come back!
Cool spot for a happy hour. Drinks are pretty affordable, the food has some unique offerings (octopus which ended up being really soft, tasty)! Pizza is also solid, nice undercarriage and char. Service, though the restaurant was quite busy was still timely and friendly. Was able to get a table with some ease still. Nice to sit out on the patio. Fun vibes on an after-work evening!

Lunch menu pretty limited. I ordered a hamburger. Waiter said he didn't think they had anymore meat. He went to check. Came back and said ok but no more buns. “We can wrap in in lettuce.” No thank you...then he said they could do it in same bread as chicken sandwich. Ok...what bread is that? “Sweet daily bread.” What kind of bread is that? “Sweet daily bread.” Repeat. No description. So I said ok. I'd like it medium rare. “We can't do that.” Why not? “It's a smash burger.” What??? It doesn't say that on the menu. No thank you. Drank our wine and left. Happy birthday to me.
