Our favorite Italian place in SF and it's not in North Beach! Great friendly staff in a great location on Russian Hill. Food is always fresh and served perfectly. They aim to please and also have a great wine selection. Love the Cream puffs for dessert with a n expresso. Highly recommend.

We love this restaurant and wish it was in our neighborhood, because we would be there weekly! The room is small but not crowded, the food options are great, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. Service is friendly and professional. Love most everything on their menu!
Quintessential neighborhood Italian trattoria. Authentic, relaxed service. The pinsa was outstanding. The grilled calamari, eggplant parm and lasagne were on point. All paired wonderfully with a bottle of Barrua from Sardinia. And not to forget the tartufo which was a wonderful finish.

Food, service, atmosphere, humor, picturesque, music, details, table setting, beverages, view: All Ten out of Ten! Zaza and Fausto really went out of their way to help us celebrate an important birthday, including getting the restaurant to sing along! Their food has always been beautifully presented and delicious but that evening there was just a special spark to everything. Dinner done well.

Wonderful neighborhood Italian restaurant. The Italian owners are so kind and attentive and know everyone’s name and their dog’s names walking by or coming in the door. It’s surprisingly hard to find good bread these days and their warm bread with olive oil and vinegar was the perfect start. We had the crab and tomato papadelle special and the truffle halibut that was so delicate and tasty. We Laos loved the busin o! Great place for a casual weeknight dinner or a special date night.

Good, not knock your socks off, but good. We were recommended thai restaurant by our hotel's concierge. We got the lasagne and the special orrecchiette pasta. They were tasty, but not so good that I was transported back to Europe. However, their service was top-notch and the owners were as sweet as can be. It was quite busy on a Saturday evening, and you can tell it is a popular local spot for good reason.
Amazing food! We split the Spaghetti Neri octopus pasta and the seared ahi tuna special and they were amazing. They brought them out on split plates without asking and paced them out. Wonderful experience.
Beautiful location and intimate setting. This place was a very nice surprise. I would eat here regularly if I lived nearby.

Very good authentic Italian food, prices are nothing crazy. The employees are also very kind to the customers. They do get out of hand sometimes with their enthusiasm but overall amazing.
Such a lovely experience dining here with my best friend last weekend! The restaurant is very intimate and cozy and the staff are just the kindest and most attentive gentlemen. We felt like the most important guests the entire night! The food was also delicious, very clean and fresh. I will absolutely be back soon!

I live in the neighborhood but didn't remember seeing Serafina before! There's good views and parks within block (and hills.) Boy made a reservation for a rainy night and it was packed! Cozy and intimate, good service, get some wine. Seems like a good place for date night or for a girls' night out. He enjoyed the Trofie con porcini e pomodorini and I really liked my Reginette al Pesto di Spinaci con Pinoli Tostati. Rich, creamy, and flavorful, but not too much. Everything was fresh. We were surprised that the calamari appetizer was not fried but it was also good. Will be back!
