About Serafina

Serafina is a cozy and lively neighborhood restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine, owned by individuals from Rome. They offer efficient service and delicious pastas, including perfectly grilled calamari, and the must-try pinsa. The atmosphere is warm and buzzing, with beautiful abstract paintings on the walls. Despite its size, the restaurant is a popular spot that often gets busy, so arriving early is recommended. The environment has a cozy feel, and the staff, including chef Umberto, often offers interesting specials. Customers have enjoyed dishes like the shrimp pasta simmering in delicate red sauce with a small hint of chili and the luscious lamb chops cooked to perfection, though sometimes waiting times can be long during busy hours. The wine selection is great, available by glass or bottle, making for a wonderful dining experience. While service has received praise for its warmth and personalized touch, some reviews note that not all staff are equally friendly, and handling large parties can be challenging. One recent experience mentioned that the waiter rushed through courses, rushing the guests and disrupting the relaxed atmosphere, which was disappointing. Overall, Serafina remains a neighborhood gem with authentic Italian food and a lively, welcoming atmosphere that many consider a place not to miss.

I would have given them six stars if I could. Their service was impeccable. I felt like I was being adopted by an Italian family because the owner was sharing with us about his life and all the dogs he had.

Food was so legit, we got the lasagna, tortellini, bombolotti, cabonara. Tortellini and lasagna were my favourite.

Extremely dog friendly too! I brought my dog Enzo and the chef, the owner, the waiter all took turns to greet him and play with him. He’s a puppy...read full review

Great neighborhood Italian restaurant! Amazing food!!!

One of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had at a restaurant in my life. We were warmly welcomed and seated by Fausto. He and the rest of the staff were extremely courteous and friendly. The location is magical. I had the fusilli alla norma. The eggplant in the pasta was cooked to perfection. I always judge a restaurant by how they prepare eggplant: undercooked eggplant is like chewing on a tire. My mother in law had the risotto which she devoured with gusto. My wife had...read full review
